The Recent Events Surrounding Save Our State

Save Our State was a California corporation created by Joe Turner in 2004. Earlier this year, Joe Turner intentionally allowed the corporate registration to lapse and, resultingly, SOS was suspended by the CA Secretary of State. Chelene Nightingale and Mike Williams (people who have and/or had been charged with directing the organization during the past couple years) have been aware of this situation but made rare mention of this information to the public. In fact, up until recently, the former organization's website inaccurately described Save Our State as a California corporation. This has not been accurate information since the first half of July.

A new Save Our State corporation was created this past month. This more recent entity is the one that enjoys corporate status and is recognized by the State of California. This new entity is unaffiliated with Chelene Nightingale, Mike Williams, Janet Dennis or Joe Turner. The new internet home of Save Our State will (soon) be www.saveourstate.info

Anyone who cares to verify the accuracy of much of what has been related here can log on to the California Secretary of State's website and do a business/corporate search of the name Save Our State.

That new link you have posted does not work. Who intends to reformulate or lead Save Our State now? Since there is no succession designated by Turner, Nightingale, and Williams who is planning on continuing Save Our State? Why is Save Our State being continued instead of a new organization being formed?

You're right, the new link does not work. That's why I qualified the assertion made about the SOS website with the words will and soon. It's my understanding that things will be up and running on the net some time next week.

I'll be happy to answer your other inquiries later but right now I have to get to work. It's about 7:30 in the morning here on the West Coast.

    A. We have no leaders as of yet. We intend to hold elections very shortly. It is the consensus of many former members of the defunct corporation that the way authority/control was distributed was one of the major failings of Save Our State. It is our intention to learn from earlier mistakes and eliminate such a problem with the new entity.

    B. There's nothing to continue. There's practically nothing left. The former SOS website is essentially a ghost town and corporate status is lost.

    C. The former Save Our State is not being continued. A new Save Our State has been formed. We aspire to make this one as good or better than the former SOS was before Chelene Nightingale was left in its control.
