Sen. Harry Reid Files Bill Sweeping Illegal Alien Amnesty
Sen. Harry Reid Files Bill for Sweeping Illegal Alien Amnesty
Fight Him by Keeping Our Faxes Going!
Please let me come right to the point. Our side is overwhelmingly outspent, with groups lobbying for amnesty out-numbering our side 100-1. If we let our guard down even for a single month, we will pay the price in amnesties and other legislative disasters.
You may have heard that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has already introduced an immigration bill (S. 9) to be used as his vehicle for a sweeping Illegal Alien Amnesty. He's as serious as a heart attack about pushing through an Illegal Alien Amnesty and jacking up other immigration. This must be stopped before it gains any momentum.
Our opponents Big Labor, Big Business, some Religious Groups, and Big Media are saying that an amnesty is now inevitable in this Congress. They claim the election results somehow mean that America has changed its mind in opposing amnesties and favoring more moderate immigration.
We know that is dead wrong. Most Americans STRONGLY oppose amnesties. Most Americans want to place reasonable LIMITS on immigration. But we'll have to prove our point, again, through your activism and our organizational strength.
Three reasons to give to NumbersUSA this month:
(1) Last year our members sent over 6 MILLION FAXES to Congress! More stream to Congress each day. Sending faxes is expensive, and many of our members cannot afford to pay or help financially.
(2) We have the best team of immigration specialists in Washington, but this costs money!
(3) NumbersUSA serves the American interest, not some special or commercial interest. On the other hand, we have no corporations or political lobbies to raise raise money for us!
If you haven't given in a while, please donate this month. We need lots of people who've not given lately to press that red button today.
I know these are hard times for many Americans. That's why it's critically important that those who are still able to donate pitch in. Even if you can only help a little, please hit the button and make a modest contribution.
THANK YOU,
ROY BECK
NumbersUSA President
P.S. If you are unemployed, ill or on a small fixed income, please do not make a donation. If you have informed us in the past that you fall in one of these groups, please do not be offended that you are getting this email; in order to keep costs down and get this out quickly, we are simply sending this email to everybody on our list.
