Those who think that multi-cultrualism is better than the melting pot are incorrect. The one bond that binds people together is the language that they share in common. When that bond is broken, they become divided. Multiculturalism accents on the retention of one's culture and language. It does not accent on assmiliation. If people coming into the US are not assimilating, then the bond of language becomes undermined and after a while factions form, pitting one culture against another. English was the founding language of this country and is still spoken by the majority. It should be law that English be made the language of this country to keep the poison of multiculturalism from tainting the great melting pot this country once was. It is absurd for people from another country to come into this country and demand things be printed and stated in their own language. Is that what Americans do when they visit or migrate to other countries? I don't think so.
