6 WEEKS LEFT IN THE WAR TO SAVE TEXAS!

*** PLEASE ATTEND THIS HEARING ***
4/21/09 HOUSE STATE AFFAIRS PUBLIC HEARING
    SANCTUARY CITY BILLS & MORE

WE NEED YOUR HELP NEXT WEEK TO GET VITAL BILLS VOTED FAVORABLY OUT OF THE HOUSE STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE - QUICKLY!!
    http://www.ircot.com

PLEASE ATTEND THE 4/21/09 STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE HEARING ON IRCOT SUPPORTED IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION.

The 81st Session of the Texas Legislature is almost over.....as is our chance to SAVE TEXAS from the negative impact of our increasing illegal alien population.

THIS IS THE HEARING WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR FOLKS. IT IS TIME TO SHOW UP AND BE COUNTED......YOU CAN BET THE OPPOSITION WILL!

State Affairs Committee hearing is scheduled to begin Tuesday, 4/21/09 at 2:00 p.m. (or upon recess) at the John H. Reagan Bldg., #140.

    VIEW ENTIRE HEARING AGENDA, HERE.

IRCOT is "FOR" the following bills before State Affairs on 4/21/09:

HB 404 (Harless) - relating to the enforcement of state and federal laws governing immigration by certain governmental entities. (Patrick - SB 358 companion)
HB 1061 (Jackson) - relating to the requirement of citizenship or lawful presence in the U.S. for issuance or renewal of certain occupational licenses, driver's licenses, and identification certificates.
HB 276 (Zerwas) - relating to the requirement that state agencies report the cost of services and benefits provided to unlawful immigrants.
HB 48 (Riddle) - relating to the suspension of certain licenses held by employers for the knowing employment of persons not lawfully present in the U.S.
IRCOT supports the following legislation though not previously listed:
HCR 50 (Creighton) - affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the U.S.
HB 4675 (Phillips) - relating to the requirement of citizenship or lawful presence in the U.S. for issuance of driver's license (including commercial) and personal identification certificates.
    I

RCOT IS "AGAINST" HB 3949 (Solomons) - relating to the requirement that applicants for certain licenses be eligible for employment in the U.S. Interestingly enough, there is an exemption for "racing" facilities in the bill (p.2, lines 5-7). Guess what -- the family of House Speaker Joe Straus is in the horse racing business in San Antonio, TX!

PLEASE attend this EXTREMELY important hearing! This hearing is important enough to take "vacation days" off to attend.
We are coming in to the final stretch and we need you all to STAND for TEXAS!

We've been hounding Chairman Solomons since his appointment as State Affairs Committee Chair, to do the right thing and schedule our bills for a speeding hearing. He didn't......but we aren't through with him yet!!

We need your presence at the hearing and YOUR COMPLETION OF AFFIDAVITS IN SUPPORT OF THE ABOVE BILLS. You must attend the hearing to fill out affidavits -- they don't allow any other way.
The affidavits are entered into the official record -- otherwise your voice will not be heard.

Then after the hearing we will ask you to start calling the State Affairs Committee Members and ask them to quickly vote IRCOT supported bills favorably out of committee (with no substantial changes).

If you can't stay to present oral testimony (3 minutes) or prefer not to testify, you may submit written testimony (please provide 20 copies to the committee clerk) at the beginning of the hearing.
Be aware, there are several "hot button" bills on the State Affairs Committee Agenda that day (consent for an abortion and prohibition of human cloning).

IT IS TIME TO END THE SANCTUARY GIVEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE BROKEN OUR LAWS AND ENTERED OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY. MANY DANGEROUS CRIMINAL GANG MEMBERS ARE AMONG THEM AND THEY DAILY KILL AND INJURE U.S. CITIZENS

How can we help if we can't go to Texas?

What can we non-Texas residents do to help Texas? Anyone know who we can call or email to show our support for Texas citizens ?
