ICE Agent Murder: At least 83 bullet casings at scene
At least 83 bullet casings at scene
February 17, 2011 11:57 PM
By EMMA PEREZ-TREVINO, The Brownsville Herald
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Agents Jaime Jorge Zapata and Victor Avila had stopped at a Subway to pick up a sandwich as they were traveling Tuesday in Mexico. Shortly after, they were attacked by members of a drug cartel. Zapata was killed and Avila injured.
Some 83 spent shell casings were found at the scene of the assault on Highway 57 near San Luis Potosi, about halfway between Monterrey and Mexico City, where the special agents were assigned.

Since this is so unusual for the drug cartel to go after USA officials it has crossed my mind these 2 agents may be involved in the drug trade .
We know several BP Officers have been arrested for crimes and are not being vetted properly when hired."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

I highly doubt they are involved. Word would have been out easily enough 2 US Agents were traveling that road but very unlikely mention of which 2 agents thus making it very likely an attack on the US not an attack on rival contacts.
I'm seeing this as with the US cracking down harder on drugs on the border (sadly just drugs), rival gangs fighting like never before, and the Mexican government playing friend of cartels with one hand and with the other trying to appease the US cartels are trying to create bigger names for themselves. Such as with gangs if gang 1 kills an elderly lady and gang 2 kills a cop or judge gang 2 gets more status in the underworld. So kill US officials gets them renown and reputation a form of criminal respect in some areas.

Those people will murder any persons they think are trying to hinder their illegal substances operations.
Possibly, they thought the Agents were trying to take them down the reason they committed such an act of crime. However, steeper actions must be taken against those who murder innocent Americans, and our Law Enforcement Agents and Officers.
What ever happen about the American man murdered on the lake not so long ago? You see the reason for increased crime against Americans, not too many cases are justified and they think this killing will be the same but, I think this time they have made a huge mistake. When you aid and support criminals, you live a criminal life style yourself:

It seems that our Government higher ups would like for the murders of David Hartley at Falcon Lake and agent Brian Terry to just go away.
It doesn't seem as though they are pressing very hard and it is OK for foreign naitonalsto kill American citizens and officers.
Just how much in bed with Mexico and the cartels are they? To say the "game" s changing amkes me think that there is a to a certain amount of compliance.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

These ICE agents were set up for whatever reason. This was no random killing. If nothing else, their license plates were a 'dead' give away.
Interesting what the surviving victim might have to say.
