OCEANSIDE ---- Agents arrested a man in Oceanside on Wednesday who was wanted in Texas on a homicide warrant, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

The agents stopped a 1991 Honda Accord on Highway 76 about 1:40 a.m. occupied by the driver and three passengers, said Scott Simon, a spokesman for the agency in San Diego.

After questioning the motorists, the agents found that one of the passengers, a 37-year-old man from Mexico, was in the country illegally.

The man, whose name was not released by the agency, was taken to a local Border Patrol station, where the agents found out that he had a warrant for his arrest from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Simon said.

He was turned over to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department pending extradition to Dallas, the spokesman said.
