Border Patrol Agents Rescue Distressed Illegal Alien

CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from El Centro Sector rescued an illegal alien Saturday evening in the desert east of Calexico.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., El Centro Sector Communications Dispatch notified Calexico Station agents of a distress call made by an individual who illegally crossed the international boundary in the desert area 15 miles east of Calexico.

The illegal alien stated that he was lost and was having trouble breathing. Agents performing their assigned duties in the area responded to the location to begin searching for the man.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. agents located the lost 25-year-old Mexican man and requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to conduct a medical evaluation. EMS personnel cleared the man and agents transported the illegal alien to the rally point for processing.

The man was expelled back to Mexico.

This incident was one of several over the weekend when El Centro Sector U.S. Border Patrol agents seized packages of methamphetamine at the checkpoints and kettlebell-shaped packages of methamphetamine and arrested a previously convicted sex offender.
