PHOENIX -- Two men have been arrested after authorities seized nearly $4 million in methamphetamines following a traffic stop in southwest Arizona.

State Department of Public Safety officials say an officer stopped a truck last Friday along State Route 85 near Gila Bend.

The officer became suspicious of criminal activity so he called a U.S. Customs and Border Protection narcotics canine officer to the scene.

Officials say agents searched the truck and discovered 217 pounds of meth along with four pounds of white heroin.

The DPS says officers arrested 33-year-old Miguel Bustamante and 21-year-old Emmanuel Roque, both from San Luis.

They say the two men face several felony drug charges that include transportation and possession of drugs.
It was unclear Tuesday whether either of the suspects have lawyers yet.
