‘DREAMERS’ Committed Two Armed Robberies In Less Than Six Weeks

Durham, N.C. — Police charged three men with robbing the same Durham convenience store at gunpoint twice last year.

The three Durham men were identified as Osman Joel Calderon-Juarez, 19, Jose Daniel Cartenga-Juarez, 18, and
Michael Yoel Maldonado-Madrid, 20, according to a news release from the Durham Police Department. They were
charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, assault by pointing a gun, obtaining property
by false pretense and possession of stolen goods
.

Police said the men robbed the Morehead Mini Mart at 1601 Morehead Ave. on Nov. 23 and Dec. 31, 2015. They took cash,
lottery tickets and a phone, according to police.

Calderon-Juarez was placed in the Durham County Jail under a $1 million bond. Cartenga-Juarez was given a $750,000 bond.
