In one year, 15 unaccompanied minors without immigration documents moved to Hawaii

Since last October, the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement reports more than 69,000 unaccompanied minors have entered the country.

Over the past year, fifteen unaccompanied children who entered the U.S. without immigration documents have been moved to Hawaii to wait out the process, according to KITV4's partners at Civil Beat.

Since last October, the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement reports more than 69,000 unaccompanied minors have entered the country.

Dating back to 2014, Hawaii has accepted 34 of them -- most of whom are living in the islands with family.
