ICE Detains Yet Another Immigrant Rights Activist in Alleged Retaliation

ICE Detains Yet Another Immigrant Rights Activist in Alleged Retaliation

While the Trump administration has made deporting immigrants a national priority from the start, they’ve now rejected their original claim to only target “dangerous” undocumented immigrants. Their agenda has become even more political, as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents appear to be using deportation as a way to silence dissent against the White House’s current immigration policies.

The tactic of “targeted disappearances” — or undocumented immigrants who are picked up by ICE when they show up for regularly scheduled, mandatory check-ins with immigration officials — has been increasing in recent months, as the administration struggles to make headway on its campaign promises. Unlike previous White Houses, President Donald Trump has rejected efforts to only deport those with criminal charges, and instead has embraced targeting people at hospitals, court hearings and schools.

But now immigration officials are using detention and deportation as a way of squelching their opponents, too. In February, immigration activists filed a suit claiming that ICE was targeting activists as punishment for their speaking out against deportation and demanding movement on DACA.

According to the Hill, the lawsuit reads:

Dissidents are a danger. If they are illegally here and they draw attention to themselves, they deserve to be first!

Smart move ICE! Making the illegal organizers, leaders, and general loud mouths a priority is a smart move in my opinion.

ICE should focus efforts on arresting and deporting every illegal aliens brazen enough to protest in public, lobby lawmakers in state capitals or DC, or make comments in the media that oppose American laws and borders.

Activist illegal aliens and DACA recipients should be among the first deported each year.

Let's add Jorge Ramos who last night on Tucker Carlson was confronted about the fact that he is voting in the Mexico election as well as U.S. elections. He defended that he has dual citizenship. However, he is a naturalized citizen. Part of the oath is to renounce any allegiance to any other country. It is apparent he lied to get U.S. citizenship, so his citizenship should be annulled, and he should be deported as the illegal alien that he is! He has demonstrated that his allegiance is not with this country.
