13 Found Slain in Violent Mexican Border City

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – The bodies of four women were discovered inside a home in this violence-ridden Mexican border city, where nine men were also found slain in recent hours, prosecutors said.

The remains of the four women, two of them minors, were found inside a residence in the Bellavista district of Ciudad Juarez, a city in Chihuahua state that lies across the border from El Paso, Texas.

The victims were identified as Dolores Rodriguez and Rocio Resendiz, both aged 30, and sisters Sofia and Cristina Lugo Resendiz, aged 12 and 14.

Commenting on the killings, Victoria Carabeo, a social activist involved in combating murders of women in Ciudad Juarez said non-governmental organizations “are not seeing that these cases of women’s deaths are being solved and (these types of murders) continue to increase.â€

The victims were identified as Dolores Rodriguez and Rocio Resendiz, both aged 30, and sisters Sofia and Cristina Lugo Resendiz, aged 12 and 14.

Everytime I read about another killing in this cesspool - it just twists me. Why the hatred towards young women??
