Jose Andrade, 13, of Leesburg, came to the United States in 2005 and has been active in the Boy Scouts for two and a half years. He is being deported to his native country of El Salvador in July.

Jose Andrade is a bashful 13-year-old living in Leesburg. He's a graduate of Catoctin Elementary School, and in a few days, he will have completed seventh grade at J. Lupton Simpson Middle School.

His teachers describe him as a pleasure to have in class, a hard-working student with a positive attitude who takes pride in his work, although on occasion he can be a class clown.

His Boy Scout troop leader calls Jose the most dedicated 13-year-old Scout in the troop.

And when he grows up, he says he wants to be a policeman -- mostly because of the cool uniform, but also to help protect people.

But it's unlikely Jose will be able to realize his dreams.

A native of El Salvador, the teen has until July 16 to leave the country – alone and without his family.

    The journey here

Born in Guatajigua, El Salvador, in 1994, the youngster experienced the fallout of the county's brutal civil war, which had ended in 1992.

His mother, Mirna Andrade, left the country in 2000 to find work in the United States. Jobs were hard to come by in El Salvador, and providing for her family was difficult, she said.

Hypocritical Boy Scout Wants ILLEGAL Status Overlooked

Apparently this ILLEGAL alien posing as a Boy Scout doesn’t think the oath each Boy Scout takes means what it says when it come to following the law.

    The Oath specifically says:
OBEDIENT — A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobey them.
So before anyone gets their panties in a bunch over this “tear-jerkerâ€

Torn between loosing her son and abandoning her two younger children, Mirna tears up when she talks about having no choice but to let Jose go back to El Salvador without her.
What? No choice!! What about if she takes herself and two anchor babies and goes back to El Salvador.

The United States did not cause her situation, SHE DID!

She said her son's education was a primary reason for bringing him here, adding it was important to her that she be with her son.
What a bunch of BS, if it was important to be with her son she would be leaving with him.

    13-year-old

The judge made the right decision. If all the underage children who try to come across the border are allowed to stay--we can only imagine how many millions of children would attempt the dangerous journey.

If the mom left him in El Salvador, then why blame Americans for sending him back to where she left him? If she has a work visa, she should be able to get permission to escort him back and find a suitable place for him. But wait, that would cost money, and mom probably already owes the smuggler who helped these kids come all the way from El Salvador.

ILLEGALS will, for their own selfish purposes, exploit one of the most respected American cultural icons, the American Boy Scout, to rationalize and justify their breaking of our laws.
There hasn't been anything sacred they haven't tried to exploit for their own personal gain. I don't care if it's Elvira with the Virgin Mary, marraige, family, children, you name it, they abuse it.

I'll tell you how she got here!!

She got here illegaly and about 10 years ago they had a combination hurricane/earthquake disaster down there, and all the illegals from central america that were here at the time got TPS (temporary protected status). It's been over 10 years and every 18 month they get this so called permit renewed. I guess somewhere along the line somebody forgot that it was supposed to be TEMPORARY. These TPS receipients then bring their family illegaly over here, as in this SOB story!!

Now they are pushing for people who have this TPS to get greencards!

central america - ms 13 gang - if you live in a community where this trash is found you know what i'm talking about.

Not that it's relevant, but I wonder if her two anchor babies are illegitimate? If so, I'm sure she is receiving food stamps and other social services for the children because she can't be making enough to support them.

i believe in order for her to apply for a greencard through her brother, she needs to be unmarried.
