Shootout in Juárez leaves three suspects dead

A shootout in Juárez just south of the Zaragoza bridge has left three suspects dead and one more in custody, Juárez officials said. Another suspect fled the scene.

The shootout was between suspects and five Juárez police officers at about 8 a.m. today and it happened in the middle of the street in the Valley of Juárez, across from the Zaragoza Port of Entry, Juárez officials said.

One of the officers involved in the gun fight had minor injuries, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing.
