17 indicted in Montana on drug and gun trafficking charges

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Seventeen people were arraigned following their indictment in a drug trafficking case dubbed "Operation Highline Crystal Highway."

These arraignments were announced by U.S. Attorney Michael W. Cotter, District of Montana.

This investigation is a cooperative effort by the Russell County (Montana) Drug Task Force which includes the following law enforcement agencies: Great Falls Police Department; Cascade County (Montana) Sheriff's Office; U.S. Immigration and Customs enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (ICE); Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Border Patrol; the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation; and U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

If convicted of the most serious charges contained in the Indictment, each defendant faces possible penalties of life in prison, five years supervised release and $10 million in fines. Following are those 17 indicted and their individual charge(s) (all are Montana residents unless otherwise indicated):

• Terry Leroy Brasda, 45, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine;
• Tyler Charles Bright-Goodsell, 30, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a stolen firearm;
• Samuel Cale Chapman, 33, from Havre, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• John Edward Derry, 35, from Havre, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• William Thomas Dixon, 25, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine;
• Lawrence George Griner Jr., 43, from Butte, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine;
• Jeffrey Edward June, 45, from Augusta, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime;
• Corey James Lampert, 25, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• Martin Edward Leland, 32, from Belt, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• Jessica Margaret McKinlay, aka Jessica Bright, 26, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine;

• Eduardo Ocegueda-Ruiz, 30, from Los Angeles, California, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, felon in possession of a firearm, illegal alien in possession of a firearm, and illegal re-entry of a deported alien;
• Joshua Alberto Rodriguez, 28, from Los Angeles, California, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• Megan Lynn Runstrom, 31, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine;
• Justin Roland Turner, 32, from Havre, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and conspiracy to commit money laundering;
• Katie Leann Wagner, 27, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine;
• Michelle Renee Yallup, 30, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money laundering; and
• Sarah Jane Young, 35, from Great Falls, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes.

It a sounds like the two from LA, one being an illegal alien, were the suppliers.
