Councils Take Action Against Minutemen

Another blow has been dealt to the now infamous Minuteman project.

Although the so-called Minutemen are not supposed to arrive in our area until October, already the cities of Laredo, Rio Bravo and now El Cenizo have passed resolutions that object to the minutemen from patrolling our area.

Thursday several members from area LULAC councils were at the city council meeting in El Cenizo to show their support for El Cenizo’s anti-minuteman resolution, which passed unanimously.

Dr. Henry Carranza of LULAC Council #14 says LULAC is hoping Webb County Commissioners Court will pass a similar resolution against the Minuteman project in the near future.

I honestly dont think that it is going to matter what they pass. The minutmen can patrol on private property if they are asked by the owners.

By far the majority of the American people know exactly who the Minutemen are, and they know exactly what they are doing, and why they are doing it, and they support them.

The majority of the American people do not know who LULAC is, or what they are about, or what they are doing and if they did, the majority of the American people would not support them.
