Thread: 2 or more suspected illegal aliens gang rape in Asheville NC

Just heard on WWNC radio, during my lunch break, that two hispanic males, described as drywall installers from Charlotte, NC, alledgedly raped an Asheville woman today. The two men were found hiding near the scene of the assault. No mention was made of their immigration status. No more details at this time, but I'll update as more becomes available.

Arrests Made in Asheville Rape Case

Two arrests have been made in a reported rape early Thursday morning. Asheville police have charged 22 year old Pablo Vasquez Osorio and 23 year old Marcos Guerrero Fuentes with first degree rape and kidnapping for an allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old Asheville girl at the Red Roof Inn on Krull Road. Authorities say they found the suspects, both from Charlotte, hiding near the area of alleged incident. Officials say the victim has been released from Mission Hospitals.

Police investigate rape, arrest two men

ASHEVILLE – Asheville police investigating a report of a rape at a West Asheville hotel this morning arrested two men nearby .

Police charged a Charlotte man, 22-year-old Pablo Vazquez Osorio, with first-degree rape, according to arrest warrants.

A second man, Marcos Guerrero-Fuentes, 23, was charged with aiding and abetting the rape. His address was not listed on warrants but police said he was not from the Asheville area.

Someone called police around 3 a.m. to report a sexual assault. Patrol officers, forensics specialists and Detective Jeanne Boliek responded to the Red Roof Inn off Smoky Park Highway.

Sgt. Mack Creson found the two suspects nearby, Lunsford said.

The victim, an Asheville woman, was recovering at Mission Hospitals this morning.

“She seems to be doing OK,” Lunsford said. “She’s still being worked with at the hospital with our detective.”

Other people might have been involved, Lunsford said.

“There’s a possibility of more charges pending on those individuals and possibly others. We’ll probably review the case with the district attorney and see what more needs to be done.”
