The 2014 Hispanic Vote in Texas: "The Democratic Party has over-reached..."

AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) – "The Democratic talking points that used to work, that were race-based or identity politics, they don't work anymore," Artemio "Temo" Muniz of the Federation of Hispanic Republicans tells Insider's Jim Cardle.

"In Texas, within the hispanic community things are growing economically. There's prosperity.

"The rise of Wendy Davis happened in an echo-chamber in Austin. I don't think it transfers at all to the hispanic community, where she really does not have relationships. She's sort of an artificial, astro-turf built candidate. There is no passion," Muniz tells Insider's Jim Cardle of the Federation of Hispanic Republicans election outlook.

"The Democratic Party has over-reached when it comes to their approach to immigration and the Hispanic Community.

"We just bring up the facts ... from a Border Security standpoint, Gov. Perry has really stepped up and connected with Hispanics. On the fears of drug cartels, trans-national gangs, that is something we share in common," Muniz said of the Federation of Hispanic Republicans activities.

"Whether democrat or republican, hispanics see that as a problem and President Obama has not shown up. He came to Texas, didn't go to the border, went to San Antonio and tried to spin that as going to the border. But in Texas, people know San Antonio is not the border," said Muniz.

"And the second thing, he (President Obama) promised Immigration Reform, and I think the Hispanic Community is fed up. You can see the frustration ... we're tired of the inaction, tired of the Executive Branch not taking any action. And you see Rick Perry stepping up as a governor and filling that void.

"The Hispanic Community respects that, and Gov. Perry has credibility with hispanics ... they believe him when he says, 'I'm going to do this,' because he has, and that's going to pay off," Muniz said.

"The talking points that they (Democrats) usually use as ways to draw out the hispanic vote, they aren't working anymore. Things are changing," Muniz says of November's gubernatorial race.

"The surge in the Republican Party reaching out to hispanic small business owners, who are conservative leaning, I believe in this election, Texas is going to see the number of Hispanics voting for Republicans increase. That will happen because there is Republican credibility in the hispanic community," Muniz tells Insider's Jim Cardle of the Federation of Hispanic Republicans election outlook.

"What might possibly happen is, a lot of the donors who are bringing money in from out of state ... from California, New York, that want to see Texas turn blue (Democratic,) ... after November they might think twice about focusing on Texas and hopefully they can put their money elsewhere."

Any person who would make that their claim to fame is a truly horrible person. And everything Wendy Davis has done since has proven that.

"Abortion Barbie" Wendy Davis is a Truly Horrible Person. But We Already Knew That.
Wendy Davis rose to fame championing the ability to rip children's skulls open, vacuum out their brains, then rip them apart. But she did it in pink sneakers,
    so the media loves her.

Wendy Davis rose to fame championing the ability to rip children’s skulls open, vacuum out their brains, then rip them apart. But she did it in pink sneakers, so the media loves her. That is the only reason Wendy Davis is the Texas Democrats’ nominee. She got a Vogue profile referencing her “Barbie like good looks,” a Maria Shriver hagiography for NBC, and a lot of liberal dollars from around the country for her one public position. That is why I termed her “Abortion Barbie.”
She promptly tried to run away from abortion as her defining issue. But she owns it. It is her singular claim to fame.
Any person who would make that their claim to fame is a truly horrible person. And everything Wendy Davis has done since has proven that.
It appears she has used her influence as a state legislator to help her business.
She left her husband with kids to go to law school, then left him after he’d gone into debt to pay for her schooling.
She fabricated parts of her background to make them even more sympathetic.
Her campaign, on more than one occasion ridiculed her Republican opponent for being in a wheelchair.
Two weeks ago, she released a campaign ad mocking her opponent for being in a wheelchair.
    And now there’s this.

Greg Abbott won't say whether he'd defend an interracial marriage ban—troubling but not surprising from someone who defends a "poll tax."

    Greg Abbott’s wife is Hispanic.
It’s also par for the course that the idiots who run her campaign are trying to whip minority voters into a frenzy after they read about Democrats needing black voters to turn out. That was just in the New York Times.
Wendy Davis has run a gutter campaign and on Election Day the voters will abort her political career.
