21-year-old woman arrested for cutting boyfriend with knife

DESTIN — A 21-year-old woman was arrested Sunday and charged wtih aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Susan Denisse Morales is charged with cutting her boyfriend with a knife Sunday evening at their home on Commons Drive, according to an arrest report from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.

The man told deputies that Morales attacked him with a knife during a fight. He said he was cut with the knife before he was able to take it away from her.

After the fight calmed down, the two got in bed together to go to sleep, according to an arrest report. They began to fight again and Morales bit the man on the arm and shoulder and slapped him several times.

The man told deputies that Morales attacked him with two more large kitchen knives. He was able to get the knives away from her and barricaded himself in the bathroom.

Morales stabbed the bathroom door with steak knives and kicked a hole in the bottom of the door, according to the report.

Deputies reported that the man had a cut on his shoulder and bite marks on his arm and shoulder.

The two had been dating for seven months, according to the report.

Morales faces a maximum of 15 years in prison for the aggravated battery charge.

She was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail with a $7,500 bond and was being held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement Friday night.
