2nd suspect arrested in murder

DeKalb County investigators are working in conjunction with Marshall County authorities on a 2006 killing that took an unexpected turn of events Friday, DeKalb County District Attorney Mike O’Dell said Monday.

The suspect, Salvador Villa Rodriguez, 28 of Franklin, Tenn., was found living in Louisiana and brought back to Marshall County to face charges of criminal conspiracy.

Rodriguez is suspected of the murder in which a mutilated and decomposed body was found under a shed on property off County Road 37 near Highway 68.

O’Dell said charges hadn’t been filed against Rodriguez in DeKalb County as of Monday.
