40 people arrested in D.C. while rallying for Congress to help Dreamers

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Forty people were arrested Tuesday while rallying for Congress to help Dreamers.
The United States Capitol Police said they arrested the individuals for unlawfully demonstrating in the rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building.


They all face a charge of crowding, obstructing or incommoding, which violates D.C. Code §22-1307.

Earlier Tuesday, the Catholic Day of Action with Dreamers rally took place in front of the Russell Senate Office Building. During the rally, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) addressed the crowd.

Terminate the Churches tax exempt status!!!

They need to start to pay up their taxes just like the rest of them.

Absolutely!! And pass the FairTax!! HR 25 in the US House of Representatives!

I find it interesting that the Capitol police arrest 40 of this group of Catholic protesters but when the illegals are running the halls of congress there don't seem to be many, if any, arrests. they should lose their tax exempt status IMO.

I think everyone protesting in the Capitol will be arrested in the future. I would certainly hope so.
