    EU official criticizes U.S.-Mexico wall

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana on Tuesday criticized U.S. plans to extend barriers along its border with Mexico, saying immigrants should not be treated like criminals.

"A wall that separates one country from another is not something that I like or that the European Union members like," Solana said at a news conference in Mexico City. "We don't think walls are reasonable instruments to stop people from crossing into a country."

The EU believes immigrants should be treated "like people, not like criminals," he said.

In October, President Bush signed a bill calling for 680 miles of new fencing to be built along the border, despite objections from the Mexican government.

Mexico has lobbied for comprehensive immigration reform that would let more migrants enter the United States legally.

More than 11 million Mexicans live in the United States, most illegally.

Hey Solana, has your wife picked out her new burka yet?

Tell me how to run my country when you can figure out how to stop the rioting and devastation in your own. (oh that's right you don't have a country anymore...just a conglomeration.....)

AND for the record. I don't give a hot damn what you think so go back to your EU and shut up.

We agree you idiot, that's why we want the wall! Leaving the border wide open is making criminals out of every migrant that illegally crosses the border.

"Immigrants" are welcome, just not the illegal variety.

Who does this guy think he is putting his nose in our business.

Let's send the illegals to his country and pick up the tab for all the social ills and criminal activity and incarceration costs ect..

A country has a right to defend it's borders. They are breaking the US law so that makes them criminals.

The EU members stand to lose a LOT when we stop the SPP/NAU!

Spain is involved with transportation - NASCO
    PFrance has water rights +
Britain is involved in OIL & Energy

What else are they involved in??

Most Scots hate the EU and would be happy to rebuid the wall seperating them from England.

What is with these people, no wonder they can't solve their own problems they are to darned worried about the U.S.. I'm just glad they created the EU first so we could see what a disaster it was.

Your right MountainDog, The Scotts want nothing to do with it, and they may very well just build the wall before its over, they want nothing to do with where England is headed, and they are not importing people from all over the world.

And SiS is right we have to many countries involved in our infrastructer. Good question just where else are they involved that we don't know about?
