Audit: Border Patrol was Equipped to Handle Surge

The report said the stations had enough food, water and restrooms

    POSTED: 04:47 PM CDT Mar 20, 2015

    RIO GRANDE VALLEY -

A federal audit of every Border Patrol holding facility in the Valley shows Border Patrol was equipped to handle the surge of undocumented immigrants last summer.

According to the audit, Valley Border Patrol stations had adequate food, water, and restroom facilities.

However, while unaccompanied children were directly monitored, the audit notes the stations did not have enough staff members to watch them.

None of the stations had posted policies with respect to unaccompanied minors either.

Well, months before the "surprise" surge, the government had advertised a contract to transport 65,000 unaccompanied minors. I think that original contract advertisement appeared on FedBizOpps.org.

There were no posted policies, because it was to 'Bama's advantage to have the media propagating a barrage of sob stories.

Really? So they knew in advance what was going on. Our government was probably behind the whole thing.
