You can say that as many times as you want, but they still seized 316,000 bongs as drug paraphernalia and they are going to destroy all of them.

That is not the point and you know it. Pipes are still not illegal....and not paraphanelia unless used for drugs. That makes the seizure illegal. That is the point. So there is something else going on. Maybe the transporter is also a drug dealer and they want to make an extra dent in their operation. Maybe the receiver is an illegal and cant go to court to get the property back....who knows what is going on. The fact remains that pipes are not automatically drug paraphanelia.

First, they are only doing this in one tiny section of the country. And the gang task force was involved. So it is not about the pipes, but the gangs. They just want to put a big azzed dent in their operation. Good for them. But, according to the DEA site, pipes are not illegal unless used for drugs. Thats the point.

Please give us a link to the law that authorizes federal agents to seize and destroy "LEGAL" merchandise.

Hint: You can't because there isn't one.

If the merchandise was legal they wouldn't be (in your own words) "a gang", they would be "BUSINESSMEN", "in the import/export business".

I already said in a prior post that the seizure was illegal. Just because they do it does not automatically make it legal. Are you telling me there has never been a case of illegal seizure? There have been plenty. But the gang task force was involved in the seizure. THE DEFINITION OF DRUG PARAPHANELIA IS THAT THE PIPES MUST HAVE BEEN USED FOR ILLEGAL DRUGS TO BE CONSIDERED PARAPHANELIA. IN THIS CASE THE PIPES ARE NOT TECHNICALLY OR LEGALLY CONSIDERED DRUG PARAPHANELIA SINCE THEY WERE UNUSED. GET IT? THEY ARE UNUSED PIPES....UNUSED...UNUSED. FOR THIS REASON THEY ARE LEGAL.

You say they would not have seized the pipes if they were legal. How do you figure that? Our government does not always follow the law,....that is why we have so many illegals in the country. What makes you think they suddenly adhere strictly to the law when it comes to property seizure?

BUT THE PIPES ARE NOT DRUG PARAPHANELIA. SO THEY ARE NOT ILLEGAL. THEY ARE NOT USED PIPES. UNUSED. NOT USED TO SMOKE DRUGS. HAVE NEVER BEEN USED.

Thats why they have not arrested anyone. BECAUSE THE PIPES HAVE NEVER BEEN USED. WHEN IT COMES TO PIPES, THE DEFINITION OF DRUG PARAPHANELIA IS THAT THE PIPE MUST HAVE DRUG RESIDUE ON IT.

I don't know how much more clear you could get RedPony353. Some people just don't get it, because they don't want to get it. I have noticed this type of posture on other different threads. It's very disturbing that we are forced to have people such as insecure board bullies "on our side". Someone should step in on people like this. We are having very serious problems in our nation to work on.
