Lyons optimistic about 287(g) training

Albertville Mayor Lindsey Lyons has completed and sent the formal application for the 287(g) program to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in New Orleans.
“We are very optimistic about the possibility of obtaining that training and we feel confident that we are going to have it,â€
So does this make 70+ districts or areas out of 3,000 districts in the United States that are finally checking with ICE an individual's status on being in the country.
LONG WAY TO GO! Get on board all Sheriff Offices. In my area the Sheriff and local police only check with ICE in special cases or if the District Attorney checks with ICE.
Do I feel safe and secure for my community? NO
Do I think government has and is abusing the American Citizen with Taxing? Yes, b/c we are paying the salaries of the hospitals, school systems, social services, courts, polices, and elected officials who are doing nothing concerning undocumented immigrants in our country. But these same folks think it is just fine to aid and abet the illegal aliens - undocumented. CALL ICE is legal!
