Mexican mothers afraid they'd be separated from children under new immigration law

FOLEY, Alabama -- The two Mexican mothers were nervous about driving from their oyster-shucking jobs to Foley Elementary School for parent-teacher conferences.

But they did it Monday anyway.

Afraid of being pulled over and detained by police under Alabama’s new, strict immigration law, the two, who acknowledged that they are here illegally, said they still had to come to the school to find out how their children were performing in class.

Even more important, they wanted to talk to the teachers about how safe their children — several of whom are on the Honor Roll — would be at school.

They fear being sent back to the poverty and struggles of their home, Hidalgo, Mexico, that they left 10 years ago, when they were both just 19. They still send money to help feed and buy medicine for their parents.

Ok, kids to support here and sending money back home. All on oyster shucking jobs... so just try and convince me these women aren't also taking in every benefit they can from US the taxpayer! One has FIVE kids and not ONE mention of a Daddy on the scene. Makes me wonder if there are multiple Dads, or if Daddy is in the shadows so Mommy can collect even MORE?[/b]

I repeat, it's not OUR problem and I have zero sympathy left. These women KNEW what they were doing and chose to have as many kids as they could, KNOWING they could not possibly support them on their wages. WE have been forced to subsidize them and that pisses me off!

I would have loved to have more kids, but I knew I could not afford to support them, where are MY handouts? Where's my dream of having 5-10 kids?

You had them, now take them back with you and support them on your wages. Cost of living in mexico is way less than it is here!

Not ONE more US taxpayer $$$ to subsidize these shiftless, greedy criminal baby makers!

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state’s tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

The Elitist Politicians and Elitist Contributors are socializing benefits to the ILLEGALS for the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS, veiled as social programs for U. S. Citizens, on the backs of U.S. Citizens through our assets such as the Education System, Social Security, and Health Care not to mention our National Security while privatizing the profits for themselves! The reason the ILLEGALS have the anchors, furnishing a opportune sob story, is to stay in the U.S. to receive the benefits, their anchors are nothing more than throwaways for their agenda; if they were important to the parents they would take their children with them when they returned to their HOME countries and would not have to be SEPARATED. They do not want to be Citizens of the U.S. only to the extent that it would allow the ILLEGALS to remain in the U.S. for our tax money and they will return to their home countries as soon as they have drained the U.S. Dry.

Daddy??? Daddy?? they don't need no stinken daddy. If the parents are illegal then the kids should be illegal as well. Deport the whole lot of them. No need to seperate the families...ship em all out lock stock and diaper.
