TONIGHT, 7pm ET: Don't Miss a 'First 100 Days' Town Hall on Immigration
On Tuesday, February 21, Martha MacCallum will host a First 100 Days town hall event, live from Jacksonville, Florida, focused on the issue of immigration.
Immigration was among the leading issues for voters around the country, both as a security concern and as a jobs concern.
A Fox News election night exit poll showed that among the 10% of Florida voters who said immigration was the #1 issue, 69% voted for President Trump.
Now, Martha will bring together some key newsmakers, along with almost 200 Florida voters to sound off on Trump's early efforts to address the problem.
From the contentious issue of “sanctuary cities,” to the controversy over the president’s effort to restrict travel from dangerous parts of the Middle East, the town hall will feature people from both sides of the debate.
UPDATE: Martha will also speak with Senior White House Policy Advisor Stephen Miller, who authored the original executive order. Earlier Tuesday, DHS Secretary John Kelly moved to implement a host of immigration enforcement changes, directing agency heads to hire thousands more officers, end so-called “catch-and-release” policies and begin work on the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Tune in to the town hall on The First 100 Days on Tuesday, February 21, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
