    DHS not focused on security

An immigration enforcement activist is appalled that while the Department of Homeland Security continues to fail at protecting American citizens from the illegal alien invasion, a top official is embroiled in a sex scandal.

Fox News reports that Suzanne Barr, the chief of staff for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has "voluntarily placed herself on leave" amid an internal review in the wake of allegations against her.

Several ICE employees have complained about "lewd" conduct inside the agency, including several incidents involving Barr. James T. Hayes, Jr., the head of the New York ICE office, has actually filed a discrimination and retaliation suit against the department, describing the "frat-house"-style work environment cultivated by the chief of staff. Two or more employees have come forward to complain about the graphic comments made by two top officials working under DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Meanwhile, William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC), says ICE is dropping the ball.

"Instead of being focused on protecting America from terrorists, their concern seems to be creating amnesty for illegal immigrants," he laments. "And now we're finding out that inside the department, the level of sexual harassment being described in these lawsuits makes the Tailhook scandal look tame."

Further, the Department of Homeland Security is gripped by political correctness.

"If you are defaming or harassing or intimidating Christians or white Americans or males of any color, then that is being treated as if it's accepted and even being promoted," says Gheen.

So, he suggests it is time to consider doing away with the Department of Homeland Security and returning to a more traditional style of federal law enforcement.

A dep't created by an open borders advocate has never had a chance of being more than an employer for friends and pollitical buddies, IMO. That is a tragedy, operated correctly it may have worked.
