An "Angel Dad" called out Congress' inaction as a caravan of thousands of migrants makes its way toward the southern U.S. border.
"My message is to American politicians, the American Congress: This is your fault. You did this. You have the power to stop this from happening," Don Rosenberg said on "Fox & Friends" Friday.
Rosenberg's son was on his motorcycle in San Francisco in 2010 when a man who was in the U.S. illegally struck and killed him, running over his body several times in an apparent attempt to flee the scene.
Roberto Galo, a Honduran national, was convicted of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, sentenced to six months in jail and ultimately deported in 2013.
Rosenberg said migrants will continue to come to the U.S. as long as the immigration laws allow -- and in some cases encourage -- them to do so with the extended amnesty adjudication and appeals process.
He said he doesn't blame people from other countries for seeking a better life in America, but that doesn't change the fact that there are undoubtedly criminals within the thousands-strong caravan, and they will commit crimes if and when they are allowed in the U.S.
"I'm going to throw this back to our Congress and -- particularly out here in California -- Jerry Brown, our legislature," Rosenberg said. "All the blood is on your hands. You made this happen. And you're the ones that can stop it. And it's time to start doing something about it."
"Do something about it now before other people are killed."
