30 Arrested in Portland, OR Mexican Meth Trafficking Bust

30 arrested in major meth bust across metro area, authorities say

Investigators made dozens of arrests this week in a drug trafficking operation tied to Mexican drug cartels and based in Washington County that brought hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine into the area, authorities said Friday.
Police raids swept metrowide from outside Cornelius to Southeast Portland Thursday and Friday after a yearlong investigation, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a Washington County Sheriff's Office spokesman. Authorities also discovered a cockfighting ring in the Aloha area.
Federal and local investigators served 18 search warrants at residential and commercial properties. Thirty people have been arrested, Ray said.
Authorities used a wiretap during the investigation and an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Portland accuses more than 20 people of "engaging in a vast drug trafficking conspiracy" to manufacture, distribute and possess meth. Several are also accused of money laundering.
Those named in the indictment include Daniel Ramirez, Eduardo Jorge Carillo, Hector Moreno Pedrizco, Francisco Ceja Castillo, Lorena Martinez, Erik Martinez and Rafael Avina-Torres. They are accused of associating with gangs in California and Texas as well as drug cartels in Mexico to bring hundreds of pounds of meth into the U.S. and serving as the "wholesale" distributors in the operation, according to court records.
During the raids Thursday, investigators found the large cockfighting operation in the 21400 block of Southwest Farmington Road, Ray said. A search of the property, he said, turned up more than 1,600 chickens and most were used for cockfighting.
Court records accuse Ramirez and Carillo of obtaining roosters for cockfighting, and Ramirez is accused of feeding them vitamins to enhance their performance. For the fights, the two allegedly would attach knives or sharp objects to their legs.
The two would bring roosters to cockfighting derbies in Oregon, court documents say. The fights typically conclude when a rooster dies or stops fighting. If the losing rooster doesn't die, it is generally killed afterward.
Investigators seized more than 26 pounds of meth, about $90,000 in cash, 19 guns, an undisclosed amount of cocaine and many stolen items, including a $3,000 bicycle, in the raids.
The investigation started after authorities began looking into a drug-trafficking organization based in Washington County that reached into five counties, Ray said. Besides Washington, the other counties were Multnomah, Clackamas, and Yamhill counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington.
The meth was brought in from Mexico, then sold locally, he said.
"This is one of the largest and most extensive cases we've been involved with in some time," Ray said.
The investigation was led by the Washington County Westside Interagency Narcotics Team, but also involved 20 other local and federal agencies.

These are the people that, according to the illegal alien supporters, are just here to cut your grass. It looks like they have been doing more than cutting the grass. I wonder how much of the "stolen items" came from the homes of their cash customers..

The warrant was served at GP Landscaping

Federal and local investigators served several search and arrest warrants across the metro area Thursday morning as part of a major drug operation, according to authorities.

Very few details were released about the drug busts, but the warrants were served as part of a methamphetamine investigation, Washington County authorities said. The case also involves animal-related crimes, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a sheriff's office spokesman.

Investigators started serving the warrants after 4 a.m. Thursday, said Lt. Mike Rouches, a Hillsboro Police spokesman. The investigation involves both the Drug Enforcement Administration and Washington County's Westside Interagency Narcotics Team, he said.

Ray said multiple arrests were made, but he wouldn't specify how many.

"This is one of the largest and most extensive cases we've been involved with in some time," Ray said.

He declined to provide additional information, saying that doing so would "compromise the investigation."
Ray said more information would be released Friday.

Just more "doing the jobs that Americans won't do." Note that this was a year long investigation. So how much does that cost. Note also that local and federal police cooperated, but the ACLU says they can't with ICE detainers, go figure. It seems that 1600 chickens in one spot should have caused some concerns to be raised, but people as usual are asleep.

Metro-wide meth operation, cockfighting ring busted

18 searches, 30 arrests, 26 pounds of meth, guns and 1600 chickens

Amy Frazier and KOIN 6 News Staff Published: October 15, 2015, 11:00 am Updated: October 16, 2015, 6:14 pm

HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) — A yearlong investigation into a methamphetamine trafficking operation and cockfighting ring culminated with the arrests of 30 people after a multi-agency effort that included searches of 18 different locations.
The meth operation was based in Washington County, said Sgt. Bob Ray with the sheriff’s office. Investigators believe the meth came in from Mexico and distributed throughout the entire 5-county metropolitan area.

The searches included both residential and commercial properties, with most of the searches being done Thursday. Two were done on Friday and the first 4 were done at a recent previous time.
Ray told KOIN 6 News the ring was operating “pretty much everywhere around the Portland metro area. We believe the central part of their operations was in Washington County before we shut them down.”
The operation impacted the neighborhoods, he said. “When the criminal element comes in, crimes begin to happen, whether they’re thefts, burglaries, assaults.”
The meth was being produced in “Mexican super labs,” Ray said, then shipped to the area and distributed. The 26 pounds of meth confiscated has a street value of more than $1 million.
Ray noted there are “countless cases of people that will steal from their immediate family members. They’ll steal from their grandparents, they’ll sell heirlooms, whatever they can do to be able to get the money and buy the drugs.”
    The federal indictment
The official federal indictment lists 24 people — with nicknames like Chupas, Teddy Bear, Gordo, The Russian, Hazy, The Duck — who “willfully combine, conspire, confederate, and agree” to manufacture and distributed meth and use various communication devices in the conspiracy.
They’re also accused of money laundering and organizing the cockfighting ring.
Some of the defendants used “their associations with criminal organizations and gangs based in Mexico, Texas and California, including individuals associated with a drug cartel i
    Cockfighting
More than 1600 chickens were found at a property in the 21400 block of SW Farmington Road, investigators said, and most of those chickens were used in cockfighting.

He said the cockfighting operation was “extremely large” and the fights would take place at that location. Ray said the conditions were “very cruel,” and it is unclear what will happen with the chickens.
“The Oregon Humane Society is very instrumental in working with us to work through this issue.”
“A vast amount” of stolen items were found in the searches, and authorities seized more than 26 pounds of meth, 19 firearms, cocaine, about $90,000 in cash and a $3,000 bicycle.
A total of 66 people were investigated and 30 were arrested, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Bob Ray said the searches and arrests are “the culmination of a lengthy investigation.” He also described the “prolonged” case as “very extensive.” Ray also said more arrests in this case are possible.

n the Mexican state of Michoacan, obtained methamphetamine for purposes of further distribution within the United States, including within the District of Oregon.”

I've said it for yours. These people are not here to do Jobs Americans Won't Do, because there is no job an American won't do. These people aren't here because they're starving peasants, because starving peasants don't have $12,000 cash on them to pay the smugglers to run them in here. These people all work for the drug cartels. They work by day and run drugs by night. The work is just their cover to be here. And everyone who advocates for them, knows this, because they're all on the take with the cartels who have bought up law enforcement, politicians, 501 C 3 tax fraud "charities", churches and people in government agencies.

The illegal drug business is over a $300 billion a year enterprise, with over $240 billion of that coming in over the Southern Border based on a Congressional Report issued some years ago.

The only way to stop that portion of illegal immigration which is the vast majority of it is legalize, regulate, educate and tax under the FairTax, the illegal drug trade. Make it a domestic business only, no imports, no exports, to avoid international complications. Require the entire industry from Top to Bottom, A to Z, be both owned and operated by licensed US Citizens Only, regulate age, quality and quantity, educate with better information including with brochures with all sales and warning labels on all product, use part of the FairTax revenue only drug users pay to fund free rehab on demand without stigma for anyone who wants or needs it, and stop worrying about it.

This stops the street crime, this stops the unfair incarceration of Americans while foreign cartels take over our country, it brings over $300 billion of our money supply back into our economy, it reduces the risk of harm through control of quantity and quality of sales that can reduce risk of addiction and drug overdose, and stops the push for open borders by the drug cartels because with legalization the price will be such that they can no longer profit or complete. Consumers would much prefer to purchase legal drugs at a store instead of dealing with the criminals involved in the illegal drug trade.

There is no better solution to the drug issue in a free nation of free people.

Meth is so addictive that a person can use it one time and be "hooked".

When are the American people going to stand up and demand that these Mexican drug cartels and Mexican drug dealers be stopped from destroying our children with their drugs?

We need a BIG wall and to get rid of the drug facilitators that are already here and that doesn't mean being a guest of the state for years. JMO

Another way is called "disappearance." That's what happens in Latin America. This is a crisis, an undeclared war on US citizens by Latin American dirtbags.
