Anti-illegal Alien Group Denied Civil Rights by Police

The right to freely assemble, and the freedom of speech were denied by the police of Washington Township, Mercer County, New Jersey! The United Patriots of America (UPA), a group known for fighting against illegal immigration, was asked to leave a Washington Township diner after Hispanics picketed their meeting place. Ironically, at a church in the next town, the "New Jersey Division of Civil Rights and the Mercer County Hispanic Association sponsored a "civil rights conference for Hispanics" . . . "in the wake of a series of raids for illegal immigrants in the area."(1) This is a tale that reveals how Hispanic organizations, and local police in concert with township officials, denied the civil liberties of honest, decent, hard working, patriotic Americans. Before recounting the tale, it should be noted, that NOT ONE, major Hispanic or Latino organization in America, is AGAINST illegal immigration.
Exactly who are the United Patriots of America (UPA)? They are an organization who is pressing for the vigorous enforcement of our immigration laws and works to find and execute inventive ways to stem the tide of massive illegal immigration. They want to stop the 'human tsunami' of illegal aliens that is overwhelming the 'melting pot' and negatively impacting our culture, society and language.
In contrast, it is despicable to constantly see and hear Hispanic and Latino groups lobby and protest in support of illegal aliens, as if they were 'entitled' to have the same equality, rights and privileges, as American citizens and legal residents! Their open, brazen support for illegal aliens, reveals a stunning arrogance and shameful disdain for our country's immigration laws. Their outrageous and blatant promotion of illegal aliens clearly demonstrates that they will stop at nothing to achieve their racist agenda. What have we come to in America, supposedly the land of laws, that the local police and government officials unconscionably dismiss illegal aliens as part of the fabric of our society and do nothing of substance to stop the onslaught? To see just how that happens, read on . . .
The Story Begins With a 'Turf War' Waged with Lies and Innuendos:
The United Patriots of America (UPA), is a nationally oriented organization, that intends to provide an umbrella under which ALL other anti-illegal alien activist groups can join together in association. As such, when the UPA prepared for their April 3rd meeting at the Water-works Rd., VFW, in Freehold, NJ, they intentionally reached out to try and work in concert with a local group called PEOPLE (Pressing Elected Officials to Protect Our Living Environment). Unfortunately two disgruntled members, within PEOPLE, used a media 'connection' to condemn the UPA.
They launched their unfounded subversive attack against the UPA in spite of the fact that, for several years, the organization of PEOPLE had "focused their attention on addressing quality-of-life issues in the borough, such as overcrowded housing, increasing school enrollment and strained town services. . . [that] have arisen because of a large influx of illegal aliens to the town in recent years."(2) Those partisans, from the PEOPLE organization, who launched the attacks were:
Gail Trojan a member of PEOPLE who attacked the UPA stated "that she did not 'condone the group's activities,' Trojan said she believes UPA is a bit more 'forceful' in its activities than FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) and said 'forceful' is not a method that members of PEOPLE condone."(2)
Vanessa Minenna another member of PEOPLE said, without substantiation or example, that "I will not affiliate myself with this group because they have a totally different agenda than we do [not true!], . . . and we did not invite them to Freehold. I believe them to be not above board and a little radical."(2) Sounds like a 'turf war' to me!
In defense of the much maligned UPA, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) through their representative Susan Tully said that many anti-illegal alien and activist "immigration reform groups, including the UPA, have been labeled as 'hate groups' or 'anti-immigrant' groups. That simply is not true."(7) They are of course not anti-immigrant, but they are anti-illegal immigrant. "She [Susan Tully] said FAIR is working with UPA members in an effort to help them start a new state groups to engage in legitimate discussion about what she termed 'runaway' [illegal] immigration in this country'."(3)
You will find that most Hispanic rhetoric will be deliberately obfuscating, duplicitous, hypocritical and dishonest! These pro-illegal alien groups wage blatant 'in your face' campaigns of disinformation by calling themselves 'immigrant advocacy groups' or 'immigrant-rights groups' or 'civil rights groups!' They routinely call legislation that eliminates 'public benefits' for illegal aliens, as "anti-immigrant." You will notice, they NEVER say anti-illegal immigrant. The word "illegal" is NOT part of their vocabulary! Without fail, they deliberately obfuscate by using the term "immigrants" when we all know that the real issue is ILLEGAL immigrants.
Then Came the Sad Affront to the UPA, by the VFW of Freehold, NJ!
Ed Pajor, House Chairman of the Waterworks Rd. VFW, said that "the organization had decided to withdraw permission for the UPA to use its hall" on April 3, 2005, and would comment no further. Therefore, the UPA, "a group that wants the government to enforce the nation's immigration laws was unable to hold a meeting in the township."(3) What was the reason for the denial of the 'right to assemble and free speech' in a rented VFW hall? It turns out that when the above mentioned members of the PEOPLE organization, attacked the UPA in the newspaper, it alerted the Hispanic community. The Hispanics then mounted a phone campaign to call and intimidate the VFW by threatening to picket, unless the VFW canceled UPA's use of the venue. Get the picture?
Mr. Argot-Freyre apparently threatened the VFW by telling them that the Latino Leadership Alliance and the Coalition for the Empowerment of Latinos and the Working Poor were going to picket the meeting in protest because they considered the UPA "anti-immigrant!" Therefore, the 'patriotic' Veterans of Foreign Wars, rolled over and capitulated to his 'mafia' tactics, after which Mr. Argot-Freyre "commended the VFW officials for refusing to rent their hall to the UPA and members of the Freehold Borough civic group called PEOPLE (Pressing Elected Officials to Protect our Living Environment)."(3) Mr. Argot-Freyre was victorious in stopping two civic groups and was quite pleased that the VFW was no longer "supporting the UPA," as if renting a 'hall' to a group was equivalent to 'supporting' them. If a group of mud wrestlers wanted to rent the hall to hold a meeting, would that mean that the VFW 'supported' mud wrestling. Of course not . . . they would rent the hall for the revenue and nothing more!
Frank Argot-Freyre has done what all the Hispanic pro-illegal alien propagandists do, he called the UPA an 'anti-immigrant' group. You'll notice of course, that the word ILLEGAL was not used in conjunction with immigrant, therefore his characterization of the UP, is completely inaccurate! He went on to say that "the UPA knows that the Freehold community has been struggling with this issue and this group is playing on their fears." What "issue?" What "fears?" Another pro-illegal alien standard operating procedure of using the typical duplicitous 'boo-hoo' comments, that never speak to the issues. Why? Because they have something to hide and it includes a word they never use . . . ILLEGAL! Did you notice that there is no mention of the 'community issues' involving illegal aliens. A problem that must have included committing crimes that required the Department of Immigration and Customs (ICE) to make some sweeps in their 'community' to collect them. We all know that ICE does not just go after 'plain vanilla' illegal immigrants. They have to have committed ANOTHER crime for ICE to get involved. That is ICE's current policy isn't it?(3)
In the end, a patriotic American group seeking to assemble and speak on "issues related to illegal immigration" were denied their basic constitutional rights.(3) According to President Ron Bass, the United Patriots of America is a patriotic organization representing traditional mainstream America where there "are many American citizens who feel that they have nothing to say about what goes on in this country. Many of them are offended by their elected officials and don’t even vote. In the past they have been referred to as the silent majority. These are hard working people whose opinions have basically been ignored by the cultural elite ruling class. Our elected officials do not listen to us. Instead they listen to the corporations and special interest groups. Our goal is to help bring back representative government. It is the mission of the UPA to educate ourselves as to how to accomplish this task."(4)
It turns out that the TRUE racists are, in fact, the Hispanics and Latinos who constantly brandish the term 'racism' while at the same time denying others their civil rights. It would be just another oxymoron, if the illegal alien problem wasn't such a grave and dire issue! If you are still naive enough to believe that the Hispanic and Latino groups, and their supporters, are genuinely concerned with those "poor hard working Hispanics and Latinos" who are coming here looking "to do the work that Americans won't do" in order to "feed their families" . . . then you need to go to these web sites and listen to all the actual recordings and read the verbatim transcripts, to learn the TRUE Hispanic and Latino racist agenda, including their Mexican manifesto for America: (5)(6)(7)(8) You will find that their agenda is to support and promote a massive illegal alien invasion, to overrun our country, not to enrich but to DISPLACE!
And Then Came the 'Diner' Affair:
After the VFW rolled over and capitulated to the racist Hispanics groups, the UPA found a meeting place in a diner nearby, but were cancelled by the owner and told they were "not welcome," after he received threatening phone calls! So they caravanned onward to the USA Diner in Washington Twp., Mercer County, NJ. As to what happen next . . . hold on to your hats, because you won't believe the machinations in this story. It reveals how public officials and officers of the law, in several New Jersey towns, conspired to deny the UPA the right of assembly and free speech. It is truly frightening that something like this can and DID happen in America!
Hightstown Mayor Robert Patten says he "found out about the 'diner' meeting of the United Patriots of America through a 'friend' in Freehold."(1) Do you suppose that 'friend' was of Hispanic origin or from PEOPLE? Or, could it have been someone from the Freehold (horse) Raceway, Monmouth Co, NJ (a 'big business') that employs nearly 100 illegal aliens in their cleaning department. Did someone from there, whisper in the mayor's ear? Unfortunately we'll never know because he isn't talking! In any case, here's what happened next . . .
Mayor Patten Notifies the Hightstown Police Dept, "because he saw it as his duty to inform them about any potential problems." The mayor said "I didn't really know anything at all (about the Patriots), other than they were doing some protest about immigration."(1) Now let's see here . . . the mayor of Hightstown, notifies his police department that some unnamed person told him about a group that was meeting in a diner, IN ANOTHER TOWN, that they 'were doing some protest about immigration.' That certainly sounds like a good reason to alert the town's chief of police. A group meeting in a diner, not out on the street protesting or harassing anybody or breaking any laws.
Interestingly in the mayor's own town there was an Hispanic civil rights conference' taking place in a local church. A church, not a diner. The 'civil rights conference' was with New Jersey state officials from the NJ Div. of Civil Rights. What was the problem here? The only nexus between the two 'meetings' (diner and church) was Mayor Bob Patten! According the President Ron Bass, the UPA knew nothing about the Hispanic conference. Even so, had the UPA wanted to protest the 'Hispanic civil rights meeting' they would have a perfect AMERICAN civil right to do so!
What Does Hightstown Police Chief James Eufemia Do Next? Since the mayor's informant is from Freehold, the chief calls the Freehold Police Dept. and learns that the UPA was planning to meet at a diner in Washington Township! The only information that the Freehold police could have provided to Chief Eufemia would have been about the brouhaha involving the VFW incident discussed above! Or was there some other hidden agenda. What motivates Police Chief Eufemia to call the Washington Township Police, who were then dispatched to the diner and at "3:07 p.m. four Washington police officers arrived at the scene to find picketers holding signs such as "Immigrants are allowed here," said Detective Vince Estelle of the Washington police. The police asked both the picketers and the United Patriots, who were described by Detective Estelle as a group that does not want to allow immigrants into the country, to leave."(1) Are you outraged yet???
Now let's see . . . the UPA is meeting at a diner in Washington Township. They had done nothing wrong! They have broken no laws. They were law abiding, patriotic American citizens. Why would the police departments, from three different towns, conspire together and be party to the 'rousting' of these law-abiding citizens from the diner when, no laws were broken? The only conclusion one can reach, is that the police colluded together for the SOLE purpose of denying the members of the UPA their constitutional right of assembly and freedom of speech! How else can you construe what happened?
Since the UPA broke no laws, could the REAL reason for the 'roust' be that the UPA is a group that is against illegal immigration. Is it because the UPA is opposed to the Hispanic 'civil rights' groups who want 'open borders' so that people of their race, can enter America with impunity and continue to overwhelm our culture, customs and language. Were the police of three townships attempting to SUPPORT the Hispanic pro-illegal alien agenda by allowing massive hordes of illegals to continue to overrun their townships. Knowing that the illegal aliens are draining local 'public benefits' and services, overwhelming the schools, jails and hospitals, and competing with the legal local citizenry for jobs? NJ Town Council and Police Reveal their Pro-illegal Alien Stance!
The Hightstown Borough Council is exposed when, after a series of illegal alien raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Council had the arrogance and audacity to take the "federal immigration officials to task for allegedly identifying themselves as POLICE officers during a raid in the borough."(9)
Just think about that! They could have yelled "ICE" before knocking down the door. That would get their attention! Or they could have yelled, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, by then the illegals would be half-way to China. Or they could have just yell 'police!' because that's who they are! It's what printed on their backs in gigantic letters. These were not undercover raids!
Council President David Schneider "said that the resolution underwent a 'drastic change' from the version originally introduced . . . which chastised . . . ICE."(9)
Hightstown's Police Chief James Eufemia (remember him) "who helped draft the measure said during the meeting [that] the resolution had undergone many changes." "Previously the resolution stated that the borough 'strongly' disapproved of any ICE conduct that creates a needless 'mistrust and fear' of the Hightstown Police Department. The bough's urging of ICE to conduct its work in a 'humane and professional manner' was removed [and replaced with] . . . "By identifying themselves as 'police,' . . . ICE officers [notice officers, not police] have created the erroneous appearance that they are part of or associated with the Hightstown Borough Police, thereby substantially putting at risk the trust and confidence of the immigrant community."(9) There it is! It's the old 'us and them' routine raising its ugly head! You know . . . immigration is a federal problem and if the local police can keep their head down and don't ask, don't tell, then they won't have to deal with the federal problem of illegal immigration. They can just shut their eyes and ignore those lawbreakers!
Hightstown's Police Department is quite happy that the resolution passed because the "fear and concern brought about by these actions could lead to a loss of trust and confidence in the immigrant community in the borough police (which) threatens the health, safety and welfare of the entire Hightstown community. . . The measure 'encourages' ICE to engage in conduct that does not create needless mistrust and fear of the Hightstown Police Department and other municipal agencies."(9)
The first thought that comes to mind is . . . has the Hightstown Borough Council gone mad? To trivialize the ICE round-up with such petty accusations and arguments is beyond the pale! Has the police chief Eufemia ever considered the 'mistrust and fear' of American citizens that think that there is a bias in their own town in favor of illegal aliens, when they propose and pass such a resolution?
The council's actions represent just another reason why Americans are angry and fed-up with the way our government is dealing with the 'human tsunami' of illegal aliens that have invaded and overwhelmed our country. How about the Hightstown Council pass a resolution that will 'restore the trust and confidence' of Joe and Jane Citizen, by applauding ICE for a job well done!
Why would anyone in the 'immigrant community' have 'mistrust and fear' unless they are here illegally! The reality is that everyone knows they are unconcerned, because no one is looking for them. To think that a borough council would go to such lengths to pander to illegal aliens, spending its time, effort and tax dollars to produce such a resolution, is a clear example of a 'tax and toil' event that was grossly misplaced and misspent!
The Hightstown Council then 'Gilded the Lily' when they encouraged "the president of the United States and Congress to pass 'rational and just' immigration laws that will provide undocumented [illegal] immigrants with the opportunity to legalize their status based on the sponsorship of their family members and employers."(9) Why does the Council want Congress to pass more laws to give amnesty to illegal alien scofflaws? Does the Council want the Congress to pass additional immigration laws that will be unenforced like our current immigration laws? Illegals do not need to be legalized . . . they need to be DEPORTED!
Fortunately There Was One Hero There . . . Torry Watkins, a local resident who expressed his concerns at meeting saying he felt "that the borough officials had violated the United Patriots' civil rights by becoming involved." He went on to say: "Even vigilantes [has he confused the UPA with the President's scurrilous branding of the Minutemen?] have First Amendment rights!"(9) Guess what? He's right! That's exactly what they did! Was anyone listening?
Understanding the TRUE Hispanic Pro-illegal Alien Agenda:
Today there are 18-20 million illegal aliens in America, of whom eighty to ninety percent are Hispanic and Latino!(10)(11)(12)(13) Meanwhile, La Raza (The Race), LULAC, MALDEF, MEChA, and the ACLU, et al, loudly advocate for open borders, protest and demand that illegal aliens receive driver's licenses and in-state tuition. Why do they clamor, protest and fight for illegal immigrants to remain here unmolested and protected by 'sanctuary policies' and rail against any attempt to end the massive amounts of 'public benefits' they receive? Why are these groups so blatant in their support to keep our sovereign borders wide open so that people of their race, can enter America with impunity? Are they motivated by pure unvarnished racism?(See Note 3 below)
What has happened to America, that the ordinary citizens of this country are denied their civil rights while racist Hispanic groups and their cohorts openly support illegal aliens! Illegal aliens that are protected and pandered to and protected by township officials and their police departments. Has the world gone mad? What have we come to in America, the land of laws, that we are expected to silently accept the duplicitous hypocrisy of racist groups and their complicit town officials and police departments?
And . . . why has our President and Congress, allowed the government of Mexico to execute a de facto war by encouraging millions of their citizens to illegally enter America? It is an 'act of war' that has reduced our country to nothing but a lawless territory, with little or no sovereignty left! It is absurd for American citizens to be so egregiously ignored by our government who shamefully refuses to enforce its laws! This has forced all of us to live with wave after wave of invading 'armies' of illegal aliens who will, by their sheer numbers, take over our society, culture and language! Perhaps it is time for "We the People" to rise up and take back our country and our language!
