NM Hispanic group: Richardson doesn't speak for us

ALBUQUERQUE - A coalition of New Mexico Hispanic groups is demanding Gov. Bill Richardson not speak on behalf of the Hispanic community, saying he failed to follow through on promises and was abusive toward Hispanics in his eight years in office.

The Hispano Round Table of New Mexico, which represents more than 50 groups around the state, unanimously passed a resolution saying the Democratic governor was contemptuous and deceptive toward the Hispanic community.

The resolution also says he failed to create a state Department of Hispano Affairs as promised and misled prominent Hispanic groups with that promise.

Richardson spokesman Gilbert Gallegos says Richardson will not lower himself to respond to such a ridiculous assertion.

3. THE MEXICAN AND SOUTHWESTERN INDOHISPANO LANGUAGE IS A COMBINATION OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE AND SYNTAX AND NATIVE AMERICAN WORDS, THUS MAKING IT A HYBRID INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE OF THE AMERICAS.

4. SINCE 1521, SPAIN CONTROLLED NEW SPAIN (WHAT IS NOW CENTRAL AMERICA, MEXICO AND THE SOUTHWESTERN UNITED STATES), LA FLORIDA (NOW THE STATES OF FLORIDA, GEORGIA, ALABAMA AND MISSISSIPPI) AND MOST OF THE TERRITORY THE UNITED STATES ACQUIRED FROM FRANCE IN THE "LOUISIANA PURCHASE" WHILE SPAIN WAS BEING OCCUPIED BY FRANCE AND COULD NOT ASSERT ITS CLAIM.

5. THE UNITED STATES TOOK, BY FORCE OR FRAUD, THE TERRITORIES OF LA FLORIDA AND LOUISIANA FROM SPAIN AND TEJAS, NUEVO MEXICO AND CALIFORNIA FROM MEXICO AND CUBA, PUERTO RICO, THE SPANISH VIRGIN ISLANDS, HAWAII AND THE PHILIPPINES, GUAM AND OTHER SPANISH TERRITORIES.

I guess they want to be called Hispano's now!

Wonder how these Hispandering Dem Politicians feel now that the Pro-IA groups have turned on them and are eating their own.

Kinda nice to see these panders attacked instead of Anti-IA groups .

Maybe they will understand how we feel when these groups make their rediculous accusations/claims and throw the to often temper tantrums for no valid reason.

Richardson, like most spokespersons, is self appointed. No on ever asked him to speak for them.
