Why not sue Rhode Island?
Bad posture on amnesty
Funny how feds lean on Ariz., not R.I.
By Michael Graham | Wednesday, July 7, 2010 | Op-Ed
Today, Arizona. Tomorrow . . . Rhode Island?
Attorney General Eric Holder finally filed that long-rumored lawsuit challenging Arizona’s new immigration law. In his opinion, only the federal government has the legal authority to “enforceâ€"A Nation of sheep will beget a government of Wolves" -Edward R. Murrow

It is all about getting re-elected. He is running out of supporters. However he is misjudging legal hispanics, many of them support Arizona. I think he just made a very critical error.

Checkmate and he lost. He just hung himself. He will never recover from this. Doing this will put those on the fence or have had head in sand for years on his opposing side.
Gov. Brewer's defense team needs to use this Rhode Island scenario for their defense. It shows that Obama is picking on Arizona.
I love that comment in this article that maybe Obama needs a smaller country. He can't handle anything in this country.[/code]

I think he is looking for an injunction, not a victory. This way he can get Mexican support for the 2010 elections. I say Mexican because not all Hispanic groups support illegal immigration (Cubans for example).

Anyway, if enforcing immigration law is a bad thing for local cops to do, as Holder claims, why pick on Arizona? If he’s really upset that the same laws he has taken an oath to enforce might actually get (gulp!) enforced, why isn’t he suing Providence instead of Phoenix? They’ve been doing local immigration enforcement for years now.
I'd be the first to admit it sounds crazy, but nothing surprises my anymore. Obama sure is chummy with la raza and has many meetings with these people behind "closed doors." They definitely have his ear.
Based upon the inconsistency and shielded nature of his dealings with these groups, what else are we supposed to think? The perception is not great!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Lord only knows who Obama's White House Staff is meeting with.
It was revealed last week by MSN Obama staff members meet weekly with Lobbyist/conspirators in a coffee shop near the WhItehouse.
They meet in the coffee house instead of the WH so there is no record or pesky official log of who the people/lobbyist are his staff meets, confers, plots and plans with."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

United States v. Arizona — How 'Bout United States v. Rhode Island? [Andy McCarthy]
Well whaddya know? It turns out that Rhode Island has long been carrying out the procedures at issue in the Arizona immigration statute: As a matter of routine, RI state police check immigration status at traffic stops whenever there is reasonable suspicion to do so, and they report all illegals to the feds for deportation. Besides the usual profiling blather, critics have trotted out the now familiar saw that such procedures hamstring police because they make immigrants afraid to cooperate. But it turns out that it’s the Rhode Island police who insist on enforcing the law. As Cornell law prof William Jacobson details* at Legal Insurrection, Colonel Brendan P. Doherty, the state police commander, “refuses to hide from the issue,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I still think that it has something to do with that none of the other states' laws were passed during the ObombUS administration. I think that they plan to win in Arizona and then make a nationwide law with the Arizona case as their precedent.
