Arkansas House OKs nursing licenses for DACA recipients

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas House has approved legislation to enable people in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to get nursing licenses.



The House on Monday approved the measure by a 90-0 vote, sending it to the Senate. A spokesman for Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson said he supports the measure.



The Arkansas State Board of Nursing began denying licenses in 2017 to candidates in the DACA program, which was started during Barack Obama’s presidency and allows those brought to the U.S. illegally as children to remain in the country. A 2017 report by the National Conference of State Legislatures says 10 states allow DACA recipients to obtain professional licenses.


Supporters say the move will prevent such students from leaving for a state where they can get licensed.

God help any of the 2/3s of Americans who oppose DACA and Amnesty for illegal aliens if they end up sick and at the hands of one of the DACA illegal aliens. I bet your chances of making it out a live just went way down.

Illegal aliens are stealing good paying jobs from American citizens in many industries. Many have been here for years, and long ago left the fields and fruit orchards. Additionally, many are running businesses "legally" with their young adult anchor babies who are able to operate due to birthright citizenship. So sad for the citizens of this country.

I find this very unsettling, especially since the lawful status of those in DACA has not been established. What happens when, or should I say if, the U.S. Supreme Court finds DACA unconstitutional? The question of legality of the program is in the courts as we speak.
