Arpaio raid on Tempe coat store nets 3 suspected illegal immigrants

Three suspected illegal immigrants were arrested at the Burlington Coat Factory in Tempe on Thursday night after a raid by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators served a search warrant on the Arizona Mills shop off Interstate 10 and U.S. 60 around 7 p.m. after receiving a tip from a manager at the store that as many as 10 workers might have been using stolen identities, officials said.

Deputies compared Social Security information with other forms of identification prior to the raid and said they knew which suspects to look for before serving the warrant.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio was at the scene and called the raid a "quick operation," adding that deputies will continue to look for the other seven suspects.

Those arrested are expected to face charges of identity theft.

Yuridia Rodriguez, 24, the wife of one of the arrested suspects, Angel Rodriguez, said her husband had been in the United States for 15 years after moving from Mexico.

Xiomara Gutierrez, a friend of the Rodriguez family, said the suspect moved there to earn money for his family.

"He's a good man, he's a good, hard worker and he's a good person," Gutierrez said.

True. Not all people who break the law are evil people. But....they are still breaking the law.

So happy to hear that he works hard and is a good person.

He will be a real asset to Mexico once he is deported.

Illegal aliens along with their LaRaza, LULAC, MALDEF, PRLDEF handlers, this administration, congress and other open borders and cheap slave labor proponents don't give a damn about American's lives ruined from identity theft, as they protest these raids screaming racial profiling. Thank god we still have some great Americans like Sheriff Arpaio in this soon to be lawless third world banana republic with nuclear weapons. For all you anti-American organizations as the above, identity theft is a class 4 felony. Now we hear Obama while talking out of one side of his mouth espousing his so called concern about unemployed Americans wants the Supreme Court to overturn the liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals unanimous decision to let stand the Arizona law stripping employers of their business licenses if they knowingly hire illegal aliens. So much for his phony baloney compassion for unemployed Americans. Traitors........
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

Excellent! Now maybe 10 American citizens can get a job at Burlington Coat Factory! I'm sure there are plenty of Americans willing to do these jobs!
