Thread: Illegal alien convicted of rape in Gooding is arrested again

U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas recently arrested a Mexican man with a criminal history in Idaho.

Antonio Beltran-Ayala, who was convicted of felony rape of a victim under 18 years of age in Gooding, Idaho, in 2006, was apprehended near a ranch in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Sunday, according to a news release. The Mexican national was sentenced to serve up to four years in prison for the rape and was subsequently deported. He was also deported in 2014 and 2015.

Following Tuesday’s arrest, Beltran-Ayala was charged with illegal re-entry after deportation. He faces up to 20 years in prison and his prior order of removal will be reinstated, according to the news release.

Del Rio Border Patrol Sector agents have apprehended eight previously deported sex offenders in recent months, according to the news release.

Wow, our border is an embarrassing sieve. As Americans we should hide our heads in shame over the destruction our elected representatives are causing and/or allowing to happen to our once great country! Yes, we are partly responsible because we elected these folks with the expectation that they would look out for our best interest. However, it is becoming more and more evident that the majority of our congress critters only have one interest at heart and that is themselves!

I think he should be put to work building a fence, cleaning up roads etc for a while before he is deported

I fully agree that he should be punished. If it were me, I'd give him the 20 years in prison he is eligible for. Your idea of chain gang type work is good. However, we do that and then we have to provide him medical, dental, food, clothing, etc. On the other hand, if we deport him, he's just going to come back and commit more crimes. We're in a very bad place with these illegal that keep returning after deportation. It's one of those situation where we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. Our border needs to be secured tighter than a gnats butt so we will no longer have such a dilemma.

We have to provide for all of his upkeep in prison, might as well get something for it. While it is not much, they pay people in prison that work. If he has any fines for illegal reentry, he could work them off and 20 years he could go home with a nest egg.
