TWO AFGHAN asylum seekers have been arrested over claims they sexually abused a 14-year-old boy at a public swimming pool in Germany.

The men, aged 20 and 25, are said to have cornered the teenager in the showers, where they forced him to perform sexual acts on them both.

The victim had been swimming in the public pool with an 11-year-old friend when they were approached by the men.

As the boys left the pool area and they were followed by the men into the showers, according to the German newspaper Westfallen-Blatt.

The 11-year-old boy was able to hide, but the 14-year-old was grabbed by the two men in the changing room, according to the police report.

The men then “forced him against his will to perform sexual acts on both men”.

The incident reportedly took place at an indoor swimming pool in Delbrück, North Rhine-Westphalia, on Friday afternoon.

Lifeguards were alerted immediately and the two men were arrested.

The pair appeared before a judge in Paderborn, northwest Germany, on Saturday and have been detained.

Tensions have mounted in Germany after a series of sexual attacks on children in public pools and sexual assaults against women on New Year’s Eve last year.

In neighbouring Austria an Iraqi asylum seeker is awaiting trial for the brutal rape of a young boy in a swimming pool changing room.

Germany launched an anti-sexual harassment campaign aiming to teach migrants how to behave correctly towards women.

The government spent thousands of pounds on the distribution of posters in numerous languages after authorities’ handling of mass sexual assaults and muggings against women last year was criticised.
