Authorities Arrest Group of 102 Illegal Aliens at Texas Border

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas — Federal agents arrested a group of 102 illegal aliens that had used rafts to cross into Texas.

The large-scale arrest took place on Tuesday morning near the border community of Fronton when U.S. Border Patrol agents spotted a group of about 80 illegal aliens crossing the Rio Grande using rafts, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Border Patrol officials revealed.

Moments after the first group crossed, agents spotted a second large group crossing the river in rafts. The illegal aliens were meeting up in a wooded area with the first group. Border Patrol agents responded in large numbers to the area and were aided by helicopters from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Texas Department of Public Safety in order to stop the smuggling effort.

In all authorities were able to arrest 102 illegal aliens. The group was made up of 73 men, 12 women and 17 underage teenagers. The illegal aliens were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing.

As Breitbart Texas has reported in the past, the area where the smuggling attempt took place has a long history of being used as a human and drug trafficking corridor. Smugglers with the Gulf Cartel use the area because of the lack of a physical fence. The river serves as the only barrier. Once their cargo is over the river, smugglers then drive the illegal aliens or the drug loads to stash houses in a variety of border cities and communities before moving them further north. In those stash houses, illegal aliens are often subjected to abuse and extortion at the hands of ruthless criminal organization.

“Human smugglers are callous and dangerous,” USBP Acting Chief Raul Ortiz said to Breitbart Texas during a recent interview discussing the ruthlessness of human smugglers. “They prey upon the desperation of illegal immigrants and exploit them for profit.”

Will they be deported or given a free bus ride to their U.S. destination of choice with a free cell phone, $400.00 and a 1-800-NUMBER
to call if they need help for housing???

Congress should limit the use of those T and U visas. They probably would, but any Democrat president would veto a change in the policy. This election is so critical. I'm glad that Cruz is pro-enforcement; I just don't know if he has the mettle to win a campaign. If some significant dirt comes up he's toast. Hillary probably will not get indicted---no matter how much we hope it would happen. Obviously she didn't follow national security protocol---but don't they have to prove intention, also? Not mere stupidity. Typical Clinton behavior, like Billy giving away the missile targeting technology. Now the combination of these two bozos SHOULD BE THE ISSUE.

Turn them right back around. They came through Mexico and they can ALL go right back to Mexico. Do not detain...deport within 24 hours!

All minors should be handed over into the care and custody of THEIR Embassy for deportation.

Agents working near Fronton observed more than 80 undocumented aliens cross the Rio Grande in rafts. A short time later, the agents observed another large group of undocumented aliens make their way north and converge with the initial group. Agents with the assistance of the Mobile Response Team, pilots with Air and Marine Operations and Texas Department of Public Safety’s Air Unit along with Rio Grande Valley Sector Riverine Units apprehended 102 illegal immigrants. The immigrants consisted of 73 men, 12 women and 17 juveniles.

Border Patrol’s interagency efforts, technology and strong presence has fostered an environment where smugglers are hard pressed to sneak large groups of immigrants in desolate areas. Smugglers are ruthless and continuously place the lives of immigrants in danger. RGV Sector urges immigrants to not jeopardize their lives by illegally entering the United States or by attempting to circumvent a checkpoint.

Most of them, like in europe, are Male.

Don't see that is mentions where they are from. If Mexico they may be deported. If Central American most will probably get to stay.
