Authorities bust another pot farm in SB Forest




SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities in the San Bernardino National Forest say they have seized more than 9,000 marijuana plants with a value estimated at nearly $28 million.

Spokesman John Miller says the U.S. Forest Service and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department had spent three months surveilling the farm in a drainage ditch between Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead before serving a search warrant Monday.

Authorities say it's the 33rd such farm busted in the forest this year, a record despite the pot-growing season not ending until late October.

Miller says three illegal immigrants from Mexico were arrested for investigation of drug crimes. Their names were not released.
