WICKENBURG, Ariz. -- A Southern California gang member with an extensive criminal history was arrested by Arizona Border Patrol agents earlier this week.
Agents from the Yuma sector’s Blythe station were patrolling near Wickenburg on Wednesday night when they noticed that the driver of a brown minivan was acting suspiciously.
Agents stopped the vehicle and arrested the two individuals inside after they admitted to being in the United States illegally.
After investigating further, agents discovered that the driver of the van was a member of Los Angeles’ Eastside Playboys Gang.
The suspect had a long criminal past that included charges for battery, possession of stolen property, and multiple DUI’s. The man is now being processed for removal.
