PHOENIX - A Department of Public Safety officer trying to stop a vehicle on the Loop 101 overnight Saturday leads to a chase.

Officers chased the vehicle into a neighborhood near 103rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

The suspect car ended up in a backyard pool.

Officers believe the driver was trying to go through a backyard to get out of the neighborhood.

Five undocumented immigrants were found in the car, two in the truck.

According to a witness one of the people is believed to be eight-year-old boy.
The driver fled the scene and is still outstanding.

No one inside the car or at the home was injured.

I assume there were five in the car and two in the trunk, not truck.

Having a swimming pool is dangerous these days. I know a few pool owners had to call alligator-removal folks when they ended up by those poor critters just trying to cool off in pools, especially around golf courses.
