Yuma sector Border Patrol agents arrested a known MS-13 gang member with a dangerous past. Agents say Gabriel Cabrera-Garcia was arrested for being illegally present in the U.S. on Saturday, east of Andrade, California. They found him traveling north along the edge of the Alamo Pond.
Records showed Cabrera-Garcia has an extensive criminal history, including first degree murder, sexual intercourse with a minor and false imprisonment.
Cabrera will be presented for prosecution.

Violent gang member arrested; 236 pounds of marijuana seized

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a known MS-13 gang member who had an extensive criminal history and seized more than 236 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated value of $118,000, in three separate incidents over the weekend.
According to Agent Robert Lowry of the Yuma Sector Communications Division, agents assigned to Yuma Station were patrolling near the Andrade, Calif., port of entry Saturday when they noticed an individual traveling north along the edge of Alamo Pond.
The subject, Gabriel Cabrera-Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador, was arrested for being illegally present in the United States.
