PHOENIX - More than 800 leaders of government agencies will meet with members of the private sector to discuss illegal immigration.

Mike Rosenberg of E.J. Krause, the company sponsoring the two-day event at the Phoenix Convention Center, says the conference goes far beyond just talking about immigration reform. "Now you have issues of drugs, crimes, drug cartels, drop houses, kidnapping, ransom and at the same time making sure that we maintain trade which is so huge between the United States, Canada and Mexico, but keep the bad guys and the bad stuff out."

He says the goal is to bring together the "users of the issue - being government and business that have border security as an issue - with solution providers."

"We have companies here from all over the world with some of the best technology and service for border security applications."

Rosenberg says the public is welcome to check out some of the technology on the exhibit floor during the conference free of charge.
