mmigration activist's son delivers letter to White House
October 3, 2006
BY ASSOCIATED PRESS
WASHINGTON -- The young son of a woman who has taken refuge in a Chicago church delivered a letter to the White House on Tuesday, hoping to enlist President Bush's help in keeping his mother from being deported to Mexico.
The handwritten letter, which 7-year-old Saul Arellano gave to a White House staffer outside the gates, requested a meeting with Bush to discuss allowing Elvira Arellano to stay in the United States, said Robert Lopez, spokesman for Chicago immigration-rights group Centro Sin Fronteras.
''He was serious about getting this done and making sure he delivered this letter for his mother,'' Lopez said.
Saul Arellano, who is an American citizen, appeared with U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez at a meeting of the Hispanic Congressional Caucus Institute earlier Tuesday, then went to the White House with the Chicago Democrat and members of Centro Sin Fronteras.
The boy traveled to Washington with Emma Lozano, executive director of the group, and was scheduled to return Wednesday, Lopez said.
On Aug. 15, Elvira Arellano was supposed to surrender to federal authorities for deportation. Instead, she sought refuge at the Adalberto United Methodist Church in a heavily Latino neighborhood.
On Friday, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by the pastor of the church on Saul's behalf, which contended the boy's rights would be violated if his mother was deported.

I'd love to see what the backlash is going to be like if this pig is allowed to stay in the country. Let me get this straight, these clowns wouldn't accept thousands of petitions from American citizens, but would accept the letter of an anchor baby on behalf of his illegal alien mother? If this isn't the ultimate slap in the face to all of us, I don't know what is.Please support our fight against illegal immigration by joining ALIPAC's email alerts here https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

This child should be taken away and placed with a foster family or other relatives who are here legally so that he might enjoy his childhood while he is still young enough to do that! Maybe we should all call DHS,department of health& human services not the homeland security one lol and demand something be done about this kid!

Let's hope that GWB doesn't fall for this. If he does, then we need to pack the kids up and head to Washington so that he can hear our side of the story.
I have a better idea. Let's leave the kids out of this......and let the adults handle decisions based on the knowledge and experience that adults have.
Go play kiddies.......and enjoy the sense of well-being that adults are suppose to provide for you.
I'm sure it is hard to feel secure when Mommy breaks the law and then tries to hide in a church so that she can further disobey the law and a judge.
Let's teach our children that life isn't easy, but we still must obey the law or it will make our problems even bigger and much worse.

This is heart-breaking, but the mother is wrong, wrong, wrong. She is wrong to break the laws of our country, wrong to continue to disobey the law and wrong to put her child through this.
A case like this is when sympathy cannot interfere with doing what is right. We'll have these kinds of cases going on all over the country if we don't handle this one right.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Re: Baby-waving Mexican criminal gets message to White House
I had read somewhere that on May 5th,2006 the families of 9/11 delivered a border security petition to the White House. and that the presidet would not accept the petition.
I can't find the link to post so if anyone else has that link please post it.
Let's hope the president ignores that child just like he did the families of 9/11 that day.We the People. You the Invader

HAWLEY, PA (April 25, 2006) – 9/11 Families for a Secure America member Peter Gadiel, along with other families who lost loved ones to murders committed by illegal aliens, held a rally at the White House Monday to deliver over 570,000 petition signatures to demand that President Bush enforce immigration laws. Gadiel, who lost his son, Jason Gadiel, on 9/11 in the north tower of the World Trade Center, 103rd floor, made the following statement:

“Families of Americans murdered by illegal aliens held a rally outside the White House on Monday, April 24th, to demand that the president start enforcing immigration law. Also present were Roy Beck and staff members of Numbers USA who had collected over 570,000 signatures on petitions to the president asking him to enforce US immigration law and stop the invasion of illegal aliens.
“We attempted to deliver these petitions to the White House, and after the Secret Service contacted Administration officials, the message was relayed to us that Mr. Bush's minions would not accept them.
“It was not particularly surprising to us, given the president's longstanding policy of refusal to enforce the law; his disregard for the security of the nation and the contempt he has shown for those of us who have seen our loved ones murdered by illegals, or raped, shot or otherwise victimized.
“Nevertheless, each additional refusal by this man who professes a belief in God and has sworn an oath on the Bible to ‘preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God,’ is a further reminder that this president is little different from his discredited predecessor, Bill Clinton.
“The foundation for the 9/11 attacks was prepared by al Qaeda during the Clinton Administration and principal responsibility for America's failure to prevent the attacks lies with Clinton, Albright, Reno and Jaime Gorelick. However, Mr. Bush's refusal to take even minimal action to stop the foreign invasion that has continued during the five and a half years of his term shows that he has as little concern for the security of Americans as Clinton. When there is another terrorist attack, Bush will have to accept full responsibility.
“We were informed later in the day that Mr. Bush had spoken in Orange County, California and that Republican Representative Dana Rohrabacher refused to speak on the same program with him, saying that the president had sold out to the cheap labor lobby. We applaud Mr. Rohrabacher's integrity and good judgment.”

Even if one were to accept the premise that children of people in this country illegally or here on visas are automatically to be granted US citizenship, that doesn't make the illegal parents any more legal. The children belong with their parents and their parents belong the other side of the border. IF we accept the premise of automatic citizenship, it's a privilege that should be exercised by the single individual for whom citizenship accrues upon reaching the age of consent, not as a means to keep an otherwise illegal family in country.
