Kraft Construction accused of employing 25 illegal immigrants; contract now in jeopardy

Lee County Public Works Director Jim Lavender will meet with county attorneys Friday to decide whether Kraft Construction violated the terms of their $52 million county contract by having illegal immigrants working on the county jail.

Lee Sheriff Mike Scott, whose jail the 25 illegal immigrants were working on, called the May 15 raid and arrests “an embarrassment.â€

they need a Pow Wow on this ? Fools covering their tracks imo . Of Course it matters useing Illegals . It allows for a Under Cut job Bid , bye way of dirt cheap labor along with a sub-quality job . Of Course it matters.

Excellent points tencz57! Of course it matters and of course they have breeched their contract by utilizing illegals as by doing so, they have been able to underbid the competition by utilizing illegal labor, thereby gaining an unfair and illegal advantage in the market place!

The only question now is when are the criminal indictments going to come down!

Anyone who would like to remind them of their MORAL and LEGAL duties to their communities feel free to do so.

there are some POed un-employed construction workers in Lee and Collier Counties working at Publix grocery stores

Americans have had it.. it's time to put the employers in jail

Which address are you refering to?

Our local news here in Lee county reported last night we have the highest unemployment rate in the nation at 6.4 % so yes we have a lot of PO'd unemployed especially construction workers !

A new Target is set to open and they interviewed 300 people yesterday and there was a long line still waiting for an application so they told them to come back today.I don't know how many jobs Target is offering.

This sounds really strange to me...hiring a public relations firm?? What is this...a sympathy ploy? Ain't gonna work pal! Cough up the fine and go to jail. You broke the law!
