MS-13 Leaders in El Salvador Giving Green Light for Hits Here, Says Texas DA

    Houston, TX

HOUSTON, Texas — A Texas district attorney says MS-13 leaders in El Salvador are green-lighting hits by gang members in the U.S. Her comments came in reference to an MS-13 gang member arrested last week in Virginia on warrants relating to the murders of two Houston-area residents.

“The way they murder, machetes, shooting them dozens of times. It’s purposeful, and that’s to instill fear in the community,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg told reporters at a press conference about an MS-13 gang member accused of killing two people in the Houston area. “MS leaders giving the green lights for hits from El Salvador, well they can expect for us to return it in kind.”

Police in Virginia arrested Douglas Alexander Herrera-Hernandez on an outstanding warrant from Texas after the Department of Public Safety added him to their 10 Most Wanted list, Breitbart Texas reported. The first of two alleged murders occurred on June 13, 2016, in Missouri City, a suburb of Houston located in Fort Bend County. The second incident happened on July 9, 2017, in southeast Houston.

ICE officials confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the MS-13 illegal alien arrested over the weekend in Virginia for two alleged murders in Houston entered as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC). Border Patrol agents released him under President Obama’s catch-and-release program, and he failed to appear for a removal hearing.

Herrera-Hernandez, aka “Terror,” a 20-year-old El Salvadoran, entered the U.S. in the Rio Grande Valley in December 2014. Records indicate he crossed the border at age 17. Border Patrol agents arrested him shortly after he crossed the border and released him with a “notice to appear” before an immigration judge. An immigration judge in Houston issued an order for removal to El Salvador for the alleged MS-13 gang member after he failed to appear for his hearing.

In June 2016, Herrera-Hernandez allegedly shot a 16-year-old boy who police say was providing confidential information about murders committed by the MS-13 gang. A turf war between MS-13 and the Southside Cholos led to multiple killings. KHOU reported the murders of six gang members during the conflict.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo told reporters, “We have to send a message when you take a life that brutally, especially that of a witness that has the courage to come forward, you’ve really forfeited your right, once you’ve been tried and convicted, to remain on this planet Earth as far as I’m concerned.”

Police say the 16-year-old informant provided valuable information on the murders committed by MS-13 in the Houston area before Herrera-Hernandez allegedly shot him 27 times in a park in Missouri City, Texas, a Houston suburb located in Fort Bend County.

The illegal alien MS-13 gang member also stands accused of murdering 26-year-old Kevin Alvarez in southeast Houston on July 9. Officers found Alvarez when responding to a shots fired call. He received multiple gunshot wounds and later died from his injuries.

After being identified by police as the shooter in this second alleged murder, DPS officials placed Herrera-Hernandez on their 10 Most Wanted list. Police in Virginia arrested him a few days later.

He has since been extradited back to Houston; the Houston Chronicle reported Friday afternoon.

I am proud of Texas mostly for it's good friendly people, but let's face it - if Texas was so tough on immigration, it would never have gotten a foothold here. They would have fixed it 40 years ago.

There are some states it crept up on, states who had never dealt with south of the border illegals and you can understand how it got so bad before they knew it. Texas, however, knew what they were doing - or what they were not doing.

The poultry producers, the ranches, the janitorial services, the house contruction business, the highway construction business, MacDonalds & ilk, and on and on - wanted these people. They can put them on contract labor - no insurance, no healthcare, no responsibility.

Please continue to think Texas is great - it's people are - our government is no less corrupt than any other.

As a former Texan (born/raised in Texarkana), I'm very proud of the job Gov. Gregg Abbott is doing to combat illegal immigration and enhance border security in the state. I honestly feel he is doing his level best to reverse the bad leadership of former governors dating back decades. His dedication to our cause is a far improvement over the likes of former governor's Mark White, Bill Clements, Ann Richards, George Bush, and Rick Perry.

"America is a nation based upon the rule of law and these liberals who are abandoning the rule of law are compromising the safety and well-being of our fellow Americans and Texas and the Trump administration are not going to tolerate it." --- Gov. Gregg Abbott, Texas

Texarkana - nice part of Texas.

I am grateful for what Gregg Abbott is trying to do and I don't intend to badmouth him as much as the state as a whole and the way it has behaved for decades. I do know that he has years of bad behavior from previous lawmakers and governors to fix.

Also, it is probably pretty hard to get things done in Austin that money people don't want done.

I remember when a business man was caught actually walking around on the floor of one of the houses, passing out checks to get something done.

When asked, he said he could have given it to a PAC, but he always mowed his own yard.

The highway patrol, and local LE could go a long way to making things uncomfortable for the illegals.

As I said, many construction companies are owned by illegals now - the DPS has to know they can't legally have a driver's license.

I don't know if you must be a citizen to get a sales tax permit, I do know I had to have a valid SS# (which an illegal can't have). When I renewed mine, the man told me 'most' of the people getting these license today can't speak English.

There are many, many ways to enforce the law, but Texas is going out of it's way to make them feel welcome.

Unfortunately that is happening in many states, however, I believe Gov. Abbott is trying to fix it for Texas. Not saying his work isn't cut out for him because Texas has many communities and cities that are openely defying and resisting his actions to end sancuary protection for illegals.

Be thankful you have him and not California's Jerry Brown. Honestly, I'm sure most folks interested in cracking down on illegal immigration would be eager to swap governors with you right now. At least you have a governor that cares and is active in trying to do something about the problem.

Oh, I am grateful - I just hope he's real in what he is saying.

It's just that over the years (lots of them), I have witness politicians talking the good talk, but actually intending it to come out just the opposite.

Again, I wish he would turn the DPS, Texas Rangers, etc., loose and tell them to enforce the law. They don't need to do more than stop an illegal who is breaking the law when they encounter him/her.

Once we were driving on the interstate outside Dallas. We came up on two mini-vans, identical, neither had license plates, no plates at all, no inspection sticker. Either of those would get most people stopped.

The windows of the vans were filled with clothing, some household goods. It was strange, though, no bags, boxes, just mostly clothing seemingly stuffed in there. It actually looked like they were being pressed against the windows - all of them.
Just me, but it looked as if the stuff was being used to obscure the windows, and nothing more.

The drivers of these two vehicles were smaller dark men. I'm pretty sure Hispanic.

It felt really funny to me and as we passed them, I looked them over really well. After we had passed, I saw a DPS car coming up on us.

I thought, 'boy they are going to stop them'.

Nope, they passed all of us, not fast as if on a call, and about 15 minutes later, they had very nice car being driven by two older people stopped.

That incident sticks in my mind. Those vans were definitely breaking the law, and I think they were hiding something.
