Border crossers: 71% of illegals, 7.9 million, from other side of the 'wall'

    By PAUL BEDARD • 3/8/17 2:39 PM

Over 70 percent of the 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States came from Mexico and Central America, a fact supporters of President Trump's wall will likely seize on.

According to a new report from the Migration Policy Institute, 7.9 million came from Latin America. That is 71 percent of the total illegal population.

Trump has promised to curb illegal immigration on the southern border with completion of the border wall. It could cost $15 billion or more.

The new report said that no other region came close to Latin America for delivering illegal immigrants into the U.S.

"Mexico and Central America accounted for most unauthorized immigrants in the United States as of 2010-14, with MPI estimating their totals at about 7.9 million (71 percent of the overall unauthorized population). About 1.5 million (13 percent) were from Asia; 673,000 (6 percent) from South America; 432,000 (4 percent) from Europe, Canada, or Oceania; 353,000 (3 percent) from Africa; and 232,000 (2 percent) from the Caribbean," it said.

"The top five countries of birth for unauthorized immigrants were Mexico (56 percent), Guatemala (7 percent), El Salvador (4 percent), Honduras (3 percent), and China (2 percent)," added the analysis.

    Other highlights cited by MPI:

    — While the overall immigrant population is at a numerical high, reaching 43.3 million people in 2015, the foreign-born share of the U.S. population (13.5 percent) remains below the 14.8 percent high recorded in 1890.

    — Immigrants represented nearly 17 percent of the total civilian workforce in 2015. Of employed foreign-born workers, the largest share (31 percent) worked in management, professional and related occupations.

    — While 29 percent of the immigrant population ages 25 and older had a bachelor's degree or higher in 2015, educational attainment is rising for recent arrivals, with 48 percent of those entering between 2011 and 2015 having a college education.

    — Nearly 18 million children under age 18 lived with at least one immigrant parent in 2015, accounting for 26 percent of the 69.9 million children in the United States. Approximately 5.1 million of these children—4.1 million of them U.S. citizens—lived with an unauthorized immigrant parent during the 2009-2013 period.

    — Between 2000 and 2015, the five states with the largest percentage growth in the immigrant population were North Dakota (137 percent), Tennessee (109 percent), South Dakota (106 percent), South Carolina (101 percent) and Wyoming (96 percent).

We need to reverse this out of control mass invasion from Mexico and Latin American before we turn into Mexico.

We have an absolute right to protect our heritage, culture and identity.

The millions of people who came out to support Donald Trump based on his promises to end DACA, end birthright citizenship and to immediately deport all illegal aliens on a massive scale are the same people needed now to ban together and remind President Trump why he sits in the White House.

Trump promised he would keep his word to the American people who have been left behind for decades and that his policy decisions will always be America first and we need to hold is feet to the fire.

Preserving DACA, birthright citizenship and selective deportations are major breaches of his campaign promises and makes him no different than the liars before him.

These were all policy changes he promised would be done by Executive Order on his first day in office and we need to rise again and remind him of that.

Is anyone surprised at these figures? 18 million children from illegals - 30% of all children in the USA.
We as American citizens are forced to pay for healthcare/schooling now & for years to come (and the illegals are baby booming ongoing), for 30% of all children in the USA. aka anchor babies that will petition for their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings etc to have a legal presence in the USA ON THE DOLE. Project a decade for more mind boggling stats.

Anyone that doesn't realize we have been overtaken by gov't sanctioned foreign invaders is in la-la land. And ryan/mcconell's obamacare 2.0 will continue to give them healthcare - forget @ phase 1 thru whatever (will not happen). It is what it is, continued healthcare for illegals.

Trump is not running this country alone, they would have never allowed that & therefore his statement of presenting alternate beings, "whatever he wants to be" emerged from behind closed doors - remember this is Trump's biggest business deal to date - the $$$$$ he can make from being the president of the USA is another notch on his ego & money belt.

ryan/mccomell could care less @ Trump's campaign promises to our citizens - they are scumbags, they are running the show now for the frontman. Trump acquiesced to that pre election too but his show was allowed to roll because his promises/rally rhetoric drew voters.

ryan/mcconnell's public statements oppose Trump's promises; no term limits for politicians, "wont happen, that is why we have elections" said mcconnell and ryan, well, he stated he believes in open borders, people can come and go acquiring jobs etc and dacas not being deported. Well, well what have we here! Exactly what they stated.

Latest, asked Thursday if he thought Trump could deliver on getting Mexico to foot the bill for the massive project, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) responded, “Uh, no.”
