Border Patrol Agents Apprehend Wanted Felon

Mission, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the McAllen Station apprehended an El Salvadorian national with an active arrest warrant for attempted murder out of the state of Florida.

On November 8, agents apprehended six illegal aliens near Chimney Park in Mission. Record checks indicated that one of the individuals, 26-year-old Roberto Carlos Abarca Cepeda, was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for attempted murder from Orange County, Fla.

Agents contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and verified that the arrest warrant for Abartca Cepeda is valid. Abarca Cepeda will be turned over to the Hidalgo County Sheriffs Office pending extradition to Orange County, Fla.
