U.S. Border Patrol agents found 32 undocumented migrants hiding in the back of a semitruck on Monday night, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a news release.
A Border Patrol dog trained to detect human smuggling and drugs alerted to the truck, which was pulled over for a secondary inspection at a checkpoint on Interstate 19 between Nogales and Tucson.
X-ray cameras were used to detect the people hiding in the truck, said U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Joe Curran.
"All 32 immigrants were taken into Border Patrol custody and are being processed for immigration violation," Curran said.
One of the immigrants was an unaccompanied minor. They ranged in age from 16 to 53, officials said in the news release.
