Border Patrol Agents Arrest Another Convicted Sex Offender

EAGLE PASS, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station arrest a convicted sex offender, Aug. 30.
Agents arrested Ranferi Gomez-Santoyo, 36, a citizen of Mexico, shortly after he entered the United States illegally.
During processing, agents discovered that Gomez-Santoyo was convicted of indecency with a child; sexual contact in Huntsville in 2010, where he was sentenced to two years’ incarceration.
Gomez-Santoyo was removed from the United States in 2012.
As a convicted felon, he faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 – Re-entry After Deportation, which carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
